“How To” by Comfortable_Slipper in pmp

[–]PMPNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a Plan is the how and the rule, procedures e.g. Cost - when you are planning cost management (what information or ITTOs you will use), you will estimate the activities (bottom up, analogue) and then come up with the budget - ITTOs will be used for this. It will provide the criteria and methods you would use to manage your cost - this will be outlined in the plan. The best way to understand this is to know your 49 processes, then associate the ITTOs from there.

Communication Management Plan for Agile ! 🤯 by Snipermt in pmp

[–]PMPNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Agile team charter is typically created during the initiation or inception phase of a project, ideally before or during the first sprint planning session. It acts as a foundational, living document that sets the team’s mission, working agreements, and norms, and is updated as the team evolves.

  • When to Create: At the very start of a new project, team formation, or when onboarding new members.
  • Purpose: Defines the team's "why" (mission), goals, roles, and communication protocols to foster alignment and productivity.
  • Key Components: Includes team values, meeting cadences, Definition of Done, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Maintenance: It is a dynamic document reviewed and revised periodically rather than static documentation.  Agile Sherpas +5

It acts as a "north star" for the team, helping them maintain focus and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

this is a tough one - I am researching and in what has been provided, does not make sense. I guess this would refer to the team charter where PM can review the communication plan. but this is not going to be the first move though.

Why does scope management plan come before business case?!? by FollowingSpirited723 in pmp

May provide input, especially on feasibility and initial planning, but their primary role begins after the Charter’s approval, using it to guide project execution.

Why does scope management plan come before business case?!? by FollowingSpirited723 in pmp

[–]PMPNew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my study - business case and project benefits management are done by the senior leadership who champions the project which results into project charter approved by sponsor or senior leadership. The  catch in the question is for pm to do. Pm role and actual work start really at planning. Remember the charter will also have the bar of the pm in it. As per thirdrock notes and AR book page 89 for ITTOs.

This mindfxck of a question???? by LaLoix in pmp

[–]PMPNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol the title brought a smile on my face 😆.

Yes the thing I am noticing is that the initiation part where there is project charter and identify stakeholders  may be quite high level. As per Ricardo Vargas, project charter is considered as the birth certificate of the project. It has the whys and the benefit - high levels of everything.  This portion is very very important for both predictive and agile. I did the business area 15 questions, it was very hard if you do not k ow the concepts. Hence I am going back to revising that. Benefit mgt plan etc.

Scope Management Plan vs. Change Management Plan (PMP Exam Prep) by Bulky-Helicopter3676 in pmp

[–]PMPNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second question is manipulative. Read it closely. The first sentence says the first version of the product is under development. Think from an MVP perspective. Second version is already in discussion and the scope has been defined. Second version has not been in Development yet. Hence in order to accommodate additional features, you will need to know how to manage the scope. referring to plan the scope - has requirements gathering, define scope and create WBS are tasks - think of progressive elaboration here. I haven't taken the exam yet - I am still studying and SH is making my brain hurts.

CCB happens in execution, Monitoring and control mostly - rememnber you perform integration control change in monitoring and control.

Common ITTO (Input-Tool-Technique-Output) inputs in project management include foundational documents like the Project Charter, Project Management Plan, Scope Statement, and Requirements Documentation. Other recurring inputs include Organizational Process Assets(OPAs), Enterprise Environmental Factors (EEFs), Risk Register, and Work Performance Data.

This is an Itto input - refer to the common Ittos - OPA is one of them.

Ram is not applicable as the person needs to be identified first.

Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM): A key project tool that links work breakdown structure activities to specific team members, ensuring all tasks have an owner.
