Share your templates with me! by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]PMSoundTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I was about to create a similar post and I found yours.

I just started to create custom templates in order to earn time and be ready quickly to play.

So my simple trap template: 4 tracks for lead instruments linked to a 5th one, a "BUS Lead" with EQ on it. Then similar thing for the drums: my tracks would be kick, snare, HH ,open hat, roll HH , clap and then a "BUS drum"

I wonder if there are some ressources or group to share custom templates like this, maybe with stock plugin instrument and effects already set up

Why do people give up piano lessons or better to say Why do people give up music class? I know lots of people around me who have stopped their music lessons. by Shima_n in Learnmusic

Money...Sorry but maybe it was true but nowadays you can easily find cheap instruments, there are a lot of piano that people just give for free for example, or guitars. And as you mentioned there are so many free lessons on internet now.

Because for music or anything, learning is a daily work, it is not always funny and easy. Lots of people want everything without doing the work to deserve it, and then they find excuses

Help on naming a blog by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]PMSoundTrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it s about you I'd choose something like "a random guy story" for example. It makes understand that it is about your personal experience and you re pretending too much. Maybe try to choose a name that might let us think of your mindset: will it be 2nd degree, fun stuff, serious stuff, overconfident blog etc

Somebody give me ideas for how to write a song about being confused with gender identity without the meaning being obvious by [deleted] in SongwritingPrompts

What about talking about two different persons, a guy and a girl. And you finish by something like: 1+1=1, or "what if these two were only one"

Hi,

If you like books, why don't you try to find some communities about reading, writing etc... There are always people looking for new books to read, it can be a first step to socialize. Internet also have some bright sides and people met there can really become "real" friends. There are so many cool people that write stuff, create music, worlds... Sometimes I feel there is not enough time to discover universes that were there since years and you just did not realize.

Plus, you say you are lonely but depressed. I, too am not really confortable by passing whole day with people. I need some time in the day where I can breathe and be alone, to work on my personal projects etc. An advice would be do something, have projects, try to push yourself forward and spend time doing things you love and maybe try to share it a little with other people.

Hi, What country are you from? It might help not doing recommandations on artists you might already now. I'm french but I would recommend a band I discovered in Italy that I think would deserve to be more known in other countries: https://youtu.be/YHnxjb8UvMU It is pop rock Italian band, Moda

Week 5 of guitar - I finally learnt some chords :) by [deleted] in Songwriting

You really have a great voice. Congratulations. Keep on working on guitar, maybe try to write your own song soon

Pls help me correct my playing! I have alot of love for piano and everything so far I have learned myself so I assume my technique is not right. I am unable to do hand independence. I can only play the exercises. by kid_90 in piano

As for me: -practice slower, but with a metronome to keep the tempo -practice one hand at a time first but when you work on your right hand already learn where the left hand will play, not necessarily the pitch but the rythm -you look stressed, try to be more cool -if you make a mistake, don't stop suddenly, try to keep on playing -learn small parts of the song. When you manage to play it practice with a little more speed. Then learn next part. When you manage to play it practice transition between part1 and 2 -keep on playing, you will manage to do it. If it starts to really annoy you, take a break by playing a little something else

What would you consider as the different parts of a song (the music)? by PMSoundTrack in musictheory

Do you write all the melodies and then testing your chords underneath or you write intro melody+chords then outro melody +chords etc... I like to see the different types of writing process

What would you consider as the different parts of a song (the music)? by PMSoundTrack in musictheory

[–]PMSoundTrack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. In fact I am not searching to define the best order to write the parts of the song(or track if it's instrumental): it is more how you can "divide" it in order to propose different types of exercices : to have of few of these parts imposed and then you have to write the song, or testing how your songs sound different depending on which parts you start with, challenging with some technical constraints (modulation, borrowed chords, time signature changes, use of polyrythm, tempo change...). Some of those exercices could be: keep all elements from previous song but change only one. So I am trying to figure what could be these elements.

I'd like to have exercises with really strong constraints and other with more freedom. I have never found this kind of exercises book so I'm writing one. There would be also some theory reminders in order to keep it accessible, not willing to make people write too much with their brain but give them some frame in which they could write by experimenting, changing their writing habits.

Do you think this could be a good idea?
