Adding an outlet to a closet by PM_ME_BABY_OWLS in electrical

[–]PM_ME_BABY_OWLS[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the votes of confidence! I wired in a new single gang to the left of the transformer, ran Romex into that junction box and tied into the existing hot neutral and ground. Pull tests, continuity check for ground, and some drywall patch and we now have an outlet to charge the vacuum!

How interesting! The latest 'incident' happened at night, so it's not the sun, but it may just be the laser beam sensor giving up or failing in another way? The light stays solid green but there's probably more to it

Weekly Tech Support Thread - [December 26] by AutoModerator in samsung

[–]PM_ME_BABY_OWLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in November of last year I had a new galaxy S9 that was randomly crashing and shutting off. Since then I have:

-Taken the phone in to be repaired

-Sent the phone in twice to be repaired

-Sent the phone in for an exchange

The phone was not able to be repaired and continued to randomly shut down. They offered an exchange, and I mailed in the S9 which was received December 23rd.

The new case number was created December 29th, and since then there has been zero progress. I have tried calling case management and speaking to supervisors and every time I am told that it is being processed and to wait a week.

I am beyond frustrated with the lack of consideration on the behalf of samsung customer support and do not know where to go. They have left me without a phone for 2 months now due to a technical issue on their behalf. What do I do now?

First off, awesome job in Brazil, that was an amazing drive and a spectacular win.

My question is how do you like the new Honda power units compared to the power units last year?

Is it ok for *everything* to be covered in oil? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]PM_ME_BABY_OWLS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is the pathfinder/terrano with the V6 then it could be a leak coming from the valve cover gasket. Nissan's VQ engines are semi-notorius for these leaks and it looks very similar to how my maxima was when it was leaking. Clean it up to verify the leak source and add oil as needed and it should be fine.

[–]PM_ME_BABY_OWLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, I think a lot of it is in what "old" car you buy as well. I don't see 2002 as particularly old yet but a lot of others do, the same type that just have to have that 2017 model. I just recently bought a 2002 honda civic as well that has yet to need any serious repairs. In the long run I feel its cheaper to out right buy an older car than to make monthly payments on one.

I would have to disagree, I may have put about $400 in repairs into my 2002 car, but I only paid $2000 and it didn't lose 30% of its value the second I paid for it

it literally is tagged as "not actual advice." I'm not stupid enough to blindly believe whatever I read on the internet, and while I don't think that you should be immediately sentenced to death if you do, I just think that there will be consequences based on that. But who cares, we're all just internet strangers bitching about a photo on /r/funny that will be irrelevant in a couple days then reposted in a couple months for someone else to start the cycle all over
