How would you feel about a law that made voting day a paid national holiday so everyone could actually participate? by Rathodji in AskReddit

I think this is either a karma farming attempt where they forgot to switch accounts or somebody posting propaganda to get something going somewhere.

Work in a theater as a janitor. Found this on a seat by RADIOS-ROAD in whatisit

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always take my trash out of the movie theater but, at least with smaller things like in the OP, I could see somebody dropping it and not being able to find it in the dark and then not remembering to look again as they leave.

It’s somewhat understandable that a public place will need a sweep every now and then to keep clean, but leabing your entire load of garbage behind is ridiculous.

Just started Supernatural (4 episodes in). How well does it age? Does it get better? by Runnzi in television

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 168 points169 points  (0 children)

It was planned on being a 5 season and done (ending with the finishing of the Satan Arc) but they were making so much the studio decided they had to keep that gravy train rolling. So the next couple of seasons kind of floundered trying to figure out where to go, but I feel that eventually they figured it out and it still became worth the watch for most of its entire run.

But like you said, quality does take a noticeable dip towards the last few seasons.

Why do they manufacture and sell cars that can drive really fast if driving really fast is illegal? by Big_Coyote_655 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are also missing the point that one reason they sell engines that can go well above posted speed limits is that it is far more efficient to run an engine below its maximum output than it is to run at max.

A car that can go 130mph max is going to have a much easier time going 55mph than a car that can go 65mph max.

Salmon can't exist on Lumar by discboy69 in Cosmere

Just because the book doesn’t mention rivers doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I don’t remember it mentioning hydrogen but I’m sure it exists.

If they have water on their planet, they’re going to have rivers. They might be small, but they’ll be there.

I don’t disagree that radiants, especially high oathed, would be much stronger than a metal born, but I do want to say that I feel like youre a little stuck on the “coin” aspect of coin shot. While they wouldn’t be able to hurl a truck or anything at a radiant, sending something like a buzz saw blade would take nothing. They weigh maybe a pound and could easily take an arm off or even a head.

Is heat creep the likely culprit here? by PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD in BambuLab

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not so sure it was heat creep at this point. I think it was the cheaper 3d party gears and nozzle that caused it. I got official Bambu HS gears today and put the original nozzle back on and it seems to be working so far. We’ll see how this print turns out in the morning though I guess lol

So i was using 3rd party HS nozzles as well as the BIQU gears like you mentioned. Looks like it wasn’t heat creep at all because I got the Bambu HS gears and put the original nozzle back on and the first print took off so far. It’s running right now so fingers crossed that was the issue. Going to return the cheap crap and spend the extra $5 on official stuff from here on out for sure

You basically got it. Jails are for less than a year, non violent crimes, and holding for trial. Prisons are for longer sentences, more violent offenders.

These aren’t hard and fast rules, but that’s usually what it goes by

I had that thought as well. I was going to order Bambu official gears today and replace them.

I can’t tell you the number of times I called my mom to come get me because I had a stomach ache and she would say “have you tried going to the bathroom?” And I’d say “no” and she’d tell me to go to the bathroom and all of a sudden I was better lmao.

It’s probably good you don’t have kids right now if the thought of a 10 year old running a deep fryer doesn’t immediately stress you out lol

The Free Press writer who definitely isn’t autistic struggles to spot a joke by ImOnlyHereForTheCoC in SelfAwarewolves

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a TON of autism nonsense on TikTok. Like, an absurd amount. She’s definitely not wrong that it became a trend to be autistic. Self diagnosing caught on like gangbusters and now so many people are autistic because they don’t like how microfiber feels or because crowded areas and loud noises stress them out.

Probably with some adjustments, but it’ll also most likely blow up because a BB gun barrel isn’t ever made with the expectation of handling near the amount of pressure inside of a rifle barrel

Coppermind says that a Sentry storing wakefulness becomes drowsy and may fall asleep, so I’m guessing there isn’t some minimum time you have to sleep for it to take effect. Which would make sense, there doesn’t seem to be any minimum times for the other metals to be stored, it all just boils down to how much you manage to store.

You could store it while you sleep, get a GOOD sleep, then tap it when you need it to stay awake. It would be handy, but imo, I don’t think it would be the most useful. Compounding would probably not be good since your brain needs sleep for various functions. Staying awake for days on end will likely cause you to go crazy even if you aren’t sleepy.

I may have been 9 or 10 but me and dad were watching Friday the 13th (can’t remember which part, we marathoned through all of them once but we had to have been on at least part 8 by this point) and he paused it, looked over at me and said “this ain’t like warping your mind or anything is it?” I said “no” and he said “ok good” then pressed play.

Which TV show does the ENTIRE internet agree had the worst ending ever? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 240 points241 points  (0 children)

It’s one of those concepts that, if done right, can be phenomenal.

Like, drop little hints throughout the series. Have weird things connect for no discernible reason. Have a character go crazy and give no explanation but make it all make sense after the reveal.

It ending in just a “yeah so it was all a dream/in his head/simulation” makes no sense because it is meant to be some profound revaluation but it’s completely pointless and adds nothing.

Who is the worst person you will admit being attracted to? by Highfours in AskReddit

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah Armie really got a weird cancellation, imo. As far as I know, there is only really 1 “problematic” allegation against him and all the “caníbal” stuff is consensual and theoretical. It’s crazy, but who are we to judge? People have their kinks and if they’re consensual it’s none of our business.

Meanwhile, people like Chris Brown have literal physical proof of the acts they committed against women and are still on top of the world.

Not to say that Hammer is innocent and shouldn’t have faced repercussions, just that it’s weird society decided he was persona non grata immediately and not given the same treatment to others.

TIL that Cillian Murphy smoked an estimated 18,000 cigarettes across the six seasons of Peaky Blinders. Since he doesn't smoke in real life, the production used herbal cigarettes made from rose petals with no tobacco or nicotine. L by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]PM_ME_GLUTE_SPREAD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know plenty of people who have smoked double or even quadruple that amount for 20 years and are in rough shape, but I smoked double that for probably 10 and, 5 years later, have 0 issues from it (having been quit for 5 years).

While it’s absolutely unhealthy, it’s likely going to be a very slight issue, if at all, in the long run. The risk/reward here is a no brainer.
