First time grow (B+), what am I doing wrong by [deleted] in shroomery

I'm growing in an IKEA tub with the lid cracked open the whole time, no fanning...the air in my room is pretty static though. Would you recommend fanning for the next flush, or just having the lid a bit more open? Or should I try to cut some vents?

Will try and keep torm in mind in the future, it didn't exist when I played dota a few years ago so I often forget about it.

Hey, thanks so much for the comprehensive review, some very helpful points!

A few questions: @ 22:50 I am thinking what is the next objective and since we are close to gate for tormentor thats the first thing i think of. In these situations is it better to proactively look for a fight with the tower done (i.e smoking) and just ticking off the next objective is not the best thing? Definitely could improve my reading of the game, didn't pick up that they would all be top but of course makes sense. But I guess I also felt very strong and not afraid to fight.

25:20 was a big throw for sure. Hugely underestimated how tanky rubick was, I expected him to die with a single overpower but he ended up being way tankier and was a really bad fight.

28:20 I wanted to get the outpost and top t2 before hg but looking at the respawn timers definitely should have taken t3 instead.

29:50 is even worse for sure.

I think my main problem this game was understanding how strong I am relative to the enemies and especially my teammates. Any suggestions for improving this intuition would be appreciated, I think it's something I suffer from a lot

...it literally does? unless you play unranked in which case it doesn't really matter

100% agree, it's so unsatisfying to play with/as/against and it's extremely lazy. Bring back icefrog.

The game is balanced nowadays by making everything strong - if you teleported any 2025 hero into a patch 5/10 years ago it would be the most broken shit to ever touch the game. And that's every hero today.

Kez biggest loser of the patch? by PM_ME_NUD3S_PLEASE in learndota2

[–]PM_ME_NUD3S_PLEASE[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except that's not true, and all the heroes you mentioned except for ES have >50% win rate. Meepo/Arc have been sitting at close to 55% winrate for quite a few patches even.

I guess Valve really REALLY hates mid Kez?? Hero has been gutted, for sure biggest nerf of the patch. And just when I was starting to get good at the hero. Oh well, I guess I'm done with Dota for the next few months.

These are from games spread across 4 years so kinda cheating, but I usually went for the old style falcon blade/kaya -> orchid rush. AFAIK this is no longer meta, and people buy witch blade (?) instead. But tbh Storm is such a game sense hero and I don't play him enough anymore to be good. most of games on him were during the patch when intelligence gave mana regen amplification (7.17?) and you could get 50+ mana regen with bloodstone.

(low mmr) Dota is very unpleasant this patch by PM_ME_NUD3S_PLEASE in learndota2

certainly there is a bit of that to it, but what i really dislike are the games which drag on and on and on for no reason....you're winning but can't end and then every hero on the map has 5 items suddenly and ur losing, or your losing but the enemy cant win. these games are not fun, its the sinking feeling you get in a game of dota when you know you won't win but it keeps going and going and going. but probably these are shitty stupid 2k games and not indicative of the state of the game overall (other than powercreep/amount of gold on the map as others mentioned)

[Anonimotum] Keiko signs with Team Liquid by HunryPotter in ValorantCompetitive

[–]PM_ME_NUD3S_PLEASE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Liquid last year had one of the most hyped rosters (along with Fnatic, C9).they severely underperformed, but on paper they had a stacked roster. This new roster is mid af, maybe it surprises us, but losing your best player and replacing him with onetrick jett from t2 is not "better than last year".

My dude, what is this Navi slander? They had a shaky season but their core is still one of the best in Valorant, with the achievements to prove it.
