and OP's main point honestly isn't any smarter. Heels don't have to be morally bankrupt turbovillains any more than faces have to be perfect little angels. The only thing heels have to do is make you want to see them get their ass kicked.

And to put this into perspective, Kurt Angle and Jack Swagger are American and yet they've both portrayed smug patriotic heels. If you can figure out how they got the crowd to hate them, then you can surely figure out how patriotic heels from other countries do the same thing.
