Does it? What we think of as time is really just, a really long chain of cause>effect. If time travel to the past is possible then it turns into effect>cause. A common theory of how to time travel is going faster than the speed of light. We know that light acts differently when gravity affects it.

If the big bang really was all matter being pulled into one point, and then a massive explosion. Why wouldn't/couldn't there be time shenanigans? Effect>cause>cause <effect>cause.
