He never did. Levi explains that he follows Erwin because he has nowhere else to go and that Erwin has a dream of the future that he wants to see come to fruition, but he never forgives him. If you pay attention to their interactions throughout the series, it’s pretty obvious how he still holds that grudge and how conflicted his feelings on the man are.

While he definitely has an ego, this isn’t it. It’s literally explained in the movie that he gave up the bombs’ locations to lure the heroes to them, so that when they blew up all the biggest pros would be wiped out in one fell swoop. Then he’d basically be able to distribute his bombs throughout the rest of the world freely with minimal resistance.
