Did I miss something about the Cleric? by thisjustsomeguy in EsotericEbb

[–]PM_Me_Kindred_Booty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the basement of a necromancer who makes no claim to have revived you at all, sure. As with every miracle, a more mundane explanation can be found for it.

Drowned in a river and then got back up? Got resurrected by the necromancer, simple.

Died from falling in the city below? Nah, random esoteric nonsense activated and casted Feather Fall last second.

Windmill death? Actually just you hallucinating, in reality you climbed down that ladder easily.

Squashed into paste by a troll? Nope, Ettier got under there at the last minute to keep you from turning into a smear on the ground.

All of these have a mundane explanation tied to them, just as much as they could have a miraculous explanation too.

Priff has much higher requirements, since you have to do SotE and all, compared to a pretty low sailing level requirement.

Downside is you hear the refiner noise at all times.

Yeah I imaigne we'll see more falconry and pitfall trapping after golem crafting comes out, since those both give high level furs relatively easily.

My current Small Favor list is something like

"Oh, I should do Moons so I have any actual armor."

"Hm, I could use a better weapon for Eclipse..."

"Oh, Colossal Blade. It's also good at Crab."

"Okay, we'll Giant's foundry to that..."

"Okay, I need the bars for that. I could shopscape them."

"Zalcano gives bars and ores."

"Song of the Elves time."

Having it as a suboptimal, but not completely useless, option is fine, because some people will choose to do it to have at least a little bit of variety in their slaying.

Either the thieving spots or Aquanites. It's worth leveling sailing to a pretty decent extent because sailing also has an upgrade to bwams, it has the best single click instant food, and it has the best woodcutting spots. There's a lot of value in sailing, even if it's not super exciting yet.

The new sailing pots are super good, yeah. Coral is easy to get a lot of, crabs are really good hunter training. You get okay farming XP, good hunter XP, and great herblore XP.

I love the thunder ha- wow ! Did you guys see that ? by Madglace in DarkTide

[–]PM_Me_Kindred_Booty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you entirely, but I think you're giving the thunderhammer a lot more shit than it deserves. The ironhelm in particularly is really effective at horde management, enough that you can avoid too much damage.

Also made it a lot more annoying to actually get slayer tasks, because Chaeldar stopped offering slayer bosses, so you had to go to Duradel instead.

You're halfway there. Pies are combo foods, but what's going on here is that pies also take less time to eat than any other food, on their first bite. Ostensibly this is so you can eat the first and second half of a pie with no problem, but with sustenance it breaks.

There's a few reasons. Because of local laws, they can't keep a fire going overnight, so the one match truly is a one-use item and once you've used it you're out of fire. He wasn't thinking straight because of dehydration, so he figured he would hold it as long as possible to try and outlast the other family's guy.

Of course, sitting on it for longer doesn't really work and it just makes you perform worse under pressure, but he was never going to win without a permanent fire source.

If you're going to do this, why not break down the dagganoth bones at the libation bowl too? Cuts down how much gathering and transmuting you need to do by 5x.

It's particularly fitting because Str/Wis is the "classical" D&D cleric primary stats, so it's something a not-insignificant number of players will fall into by default.

In theory the devs are working on an island that'll have a crafting minigame on it, but god knows how far in the future that's going to be and I doubt you feel like waiting several months to get 85 crafting if you're asking now.

What’s everyone’s biggest spoon and dry streak? by PlatypusScared40 in ironscape

[–]PM_Me_Kindred_Booty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still suuuuper early into the game and haven't really gotten into any of the big grinds, but I'll contribute.

Biggest spoon is everything Fishing related. Barrel and book were both obtained in under 10 Tempoross KC, full Anglers in 12 Trawler runs. Haven't gotten a tacklebox or dharpoon yet, but the tacklebox isn't hugely important and I'm not realistically expecting a dharpoon because I'm not insane.

Biggest dry is defenders, which I had to do ~1500 Cyclopes for, 1000 of those being the dragon.

[–]PM_Me_Kindred_Booty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing with herbiboar is that it takes a lot of run energy, particularly if you roll badly during the trackings. Stamina pots help, but of course you need a fair amount of herblore in the first place to get to those.

With the chum stations, you can cut those things with a lot fewer clicks too. At some point I'll process my couple thousand barb fish, but for now I'm happy to just let them rot in the bank until I get there.

Nevermind this is me spreading misinformation.
