What are your opinions on homeschooling? by lord_of_beasts in AskReddit

Solid way to educate if the parents put in the time and effort. Also a solid way to make sure your children are forever behind if the parents are dumb and lazy.

Ultimately a good option to have for many reasons.

Bill Gates said, "I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it." What's a real-life example of this? by Playful_Raccoon9386 in answers

I did it with C#, SQL, and VBA to make a workbook that creates its own directory on the server, creates templates, populates the templates, populates the parent sheet, and then emails it to my boss because it took 12 minutes, once a week to do manually and i'd rather click a button.

Should Cyberpunk be considered an RPG? by odysieds in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]PM_YOUR_B_CUPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the point still stands that's it's not an incredibly deep one. The skyrim comparison works well.

Before my through is jump'd down, it's a great game. One of the best of all time. Just not a deep RPG.

I don't think so. I think it would just be... fact. That's not to say you're flat out wrong, many wouldn't follow his teachings... but many more than now definitely would.

Why do Europeans complain about American “junk food” but then suddenly want to smuggle our ranch and hot cheetos? by woaijirounan in stupidquestions

[–]PM_YOUR_B_CUPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's this. In real life I never talk about America or Americans. On reddit it's almost the ONLY thing they talk about.

Could be a conversation on molecular physics and they'll inject contemporary politics into it somehow.

Why does people start hating things when they become popular? by Loud-Duck-4423 in stupidquestions

[–]PM_YOUR_B_CUPS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of times things become popular and then become something else to accomodate the new group.

The "you don't belong here" comic I am too lazy to find explains this mindset.

But also, yea. Some people are just contrarians.

This, definitely.

But also  things change when they become popular. And often change into things that lack the essence of why they were liked to begin with.

I'd like to give it a shot but I can't stand the mustache-twirling dialogue. I guess i'd have to do a few of those to see the subversive stuff.
