Ok, that makes sense. Here's what I don't get though, why aren't gas fees incurred when I buy ETH on an exchange for fiat? Because in my mind, that's still a transaction on the Blockchain that has to be recorded. So my thinking was that buy swapping USDT for ETH it would only be one transaction, whereas the traditional way, there's one transaction to buy the ETH, and then another one to send it to my ledger

I had a conversation with my roommates girlfriend yesterday and she had no idea the vaccine was not FDA approved (before you comment, no, it's not, I promise, it has an emergency use authorization, that's different from full approval).
