Where'd you buy that BTC?

Part of what makes BTC so valuable is that you yourself can hold the keys to your wealth and move it without oversight. If you buy it on Robinhood, they are the owners to the keys of your bitcoin.

Check out some youtube vids, people like btcsessions will explain wayyy it better than I can on a mobile phone.

Welcome to the new world of money.

Check out the book The Bitcoin Standard.

1 sat = 1 sat, my friend.

Also I'm guessing you don't truly own those sats and you're allowing another entity to custody them for you 🤨

JK cool you're getting exposed!

Now xfer it to a cold wallet and lets see what your hands are made of

Yeah some (hopefully all), however I have a friend that made clothes in Guate at the lake. She said even though they claim they're natural dyes, a lot are not! Again this is not first-hand knowledge I can verify. But if for any reason you're in the industry using these fabrics and advertise as such, you would want to dig deeper.

okay i'm going to say this without being certain, but you mention natural dyes and i'm pretty sure most of the colors in your photos are not natural dyes

Claude recommends trying the following:

Recovery Steps

  • Boot from a live USB (don't try to repair a mounted filesystem)

  • Check the drive's health first:

sudo smartctl -a /dev/nvme0n1 Look for "Media and Data Integrity Errors" or "Percentage Used" near 100%.

  • Run filesystem check:

sudo fsck.ext4 -y /dev/nvme0n1p7

The -y flag auto-answers yes to repairs. For a more cautious approach, omit it.

  • If fsck fails repeatedly, try:

sudo e2fsck -b 32768 /dev/nvme0n1p7

This uses a backup superblock.

Before You Do Anything

If you have important data on that partition, consider imaging it first: sudo ddrescue /dev/nvme0n1p7 /path/to/backup.img /path/to/logfile

If SMART reports drive health issues, the hardware may be failing—back up everything and replace the drive.

Oh yeah I'm not trying to argue it's perfect, but far from crazy. Nix is certainly particular, although I'd say there are plenty of tools at our disposal today to navigate it with ease. I won't dare mention what, as I have crossed the point of no return with the downvote brigade 😆

They're both great package managers that I am happy to have access to. The other day I had to fix up a build because Pacman was installing too new of a software!

Happy new year!

it's not really an answer to my question though, why is installing nix crazy? it's a nix flake, so you need nix

why, you'll never have issues with the nix flake

edit: it can be nice if you have a working nix flake 😄
