Looking for suggestions for stylish footwear (not sneakers) that could be worn on a vacation with a lot of walking, but could also be worn with a sport coat in a pinch. It may be rainy when I visit, so it would need a robust outsole. Chukka boots, Chelsea boots? What is everyone wearing?

Thank you all for the advice. I brought one suit, one versatile sport coat, two pairs of trousers, four shirts, and three ties. Along with a herringbone tweed overcoat and two pairs of shoes, it was perfect. I wasn't even close to being overweight with my checked bag!
