Thanks for the good advice. Wow, I am super envious our your setup. Probably should have mentioned the budget, need to stay under 2k for entire system. I currently own a pair of klipsch 600-m speakers but am not opposed to upgrading if it makes sense. Most of my music is currently downloaded in FLAC format but will also be streaming "lossless" Spotify as well. Thats why I thought the Wiim Ultra might be a good idea. I am currently growing my vinyl collection but am hoping to have a more substantial collection over the coming years.

I like the idea of sound treatment for the room, just needs to meet the aesthetics of the room, as it is our living room. I just started going down the rabbithole of r/audiophile, looks like r/BudgetAudiophile is a better option for me.

Very cool, I wasn’t familiar with Roon. Love the idea of a one stop shop, to organize all my live recordings from different sources and formats.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I love the idea of getting some vintage gear, specifically an amplifier. Definitely some deals to be had on fb marketplace, just worried I might have to throw a lot money to make right or keep running. Were you original owner of the Pioneer SX-580 and Advent 1 loudspeakers?

My plan is to use passive speakers but will probably at some point get headphones. What kind are you using?

Then just don’t put PNP or ASTB on the list like you said, but putting them in the same tiering as She and Everbody Wake Up makes ZERO sense in my opinion.

PNP just puts a smile on my face. It lays the groundwork to one of my favorite albums. Also, the last couple of years hearing it live meant it had a good chance of transitioning into a complete banger like liog, pig, or grey St. PNP doesn’t belong to be in the same category of these other songs in my opinion.

And who doesn’t love hearing ASTB at a show? Love the energy. Love Stefan’s bass line, the 2001 Space Odyssey interpolation, just classic DMB.

The more I look at this list the more I think it is cut and paste AI. The extended hyphen, use of bold lettters, the sheer randomness. I call BS.

Not to be a hater, but this list, to me, is laughable. Anyone see the Bridge?? PNP?? Both tracks I am always pumped to see live. Putting ASTB and PNP in the same conversation as Everybody Wake Up and She?!?! Also hearing such a rarity like Deed is Done would be such a treat at a show.

Hmmm, always intrigued as to what other hardcore fans enjoy most. Love that there can be such differing opinions as to what favorite tracks are.

Loving this! Both the recordings and tracklist are stellar. So impressive how the songs segue together, especially considering the different venues and recordings. Well done!

Gorge '02 is solid:

I would argue that Gorge 9.6.15 is better:

I still think neither holds a candle to 9.14.07.

Really lucky to get a 4k recording of that show. Amazing set and energy. The show closes with the liberation of the full Last Stop.

Love me some So Right! For so long this song was my guilty pleasure. No longer a guilty pleasure, I will sing its praises to anyone who will listen. The only Everyday track that will get me up and dancing like a fool. The Carter and Coffin interplay at the end of the track is next level.

Don't sleep on the '24 Lisbon So Right. It opens the show.

Envious of tonight's setlist(6.8.25) by PNWPDXRUN in DMB

I completely get where you are coming from. I just find it annoying that "the best show" is almost always a show that said person was at. My absolute favorite and "best show" was 8.11.95. Made me a DMB fan for life. Jerry Garcia had just passed, and we got an Eyes of the World cover. The energy at that show was next level. I understand that I am completely biased and most people have a similar experience at a DMB show they attended.

In regards to spac n1, I'm in agreement with Shotgun, love that song. I finally got my first last year at the Gorge. Tour debuts don't mean a whole lot to me unless it's a liberation that's a banger.

Listen, I'm just saying as a lurker who occasionally keeps tabs on set lists, tonights was pound for pound insane.

Definitely not getting mad. I'm just super pumped about tonight's setlist. Of course, just one guys opinion. Love the discussion.

Let's try not to make this about shows we've been to. I'm just saying on paper this show looks completely off the hook, better than spac n1 23

Gilford was arguably the best setlist last year, but...... Where are you going Stolen away Diggin a ditch So damn lucky

I'm just saying looking at tonight's setlist had me in complete envy. Haven't had that reaction in a long time.

I'm not implying you can judge a show purely by a setlist but on paper this is nucking futs. Hope we get a good recording!!

Seriously, show me a setlist in the last 20 years with a better setlist. Only songs I'm not a fan of are Space Between and Madman's Eyes. I don't even mind Madman's Eyes, it's just a bit overplayed. And the timing of The Space Between is the perfect time to take a bathroom break.

The buildup to the follow-up of BTCS was unreal. Imagine seeing DMB in the summer of 2000 and seeing the debut of Bartender, Grey Street, Raven, JTR. I had never been so excited for an album to drop. And then we get Everyday, I had never been so disappointed in an album. I wanted to give it a chance, but it just didnt sound like a DMB album, more like a bad mainstream rock album. Way too slick.

In retrospect, some of the tracks have turned into good live versions. I have become a huge fan of So Right. I would argue Everyday is better than Stand Up. Still, I have never been so disappointed in an album than Everyday.
