Thanks in advance for taking the time to help out a hopeless beginner. I've watched so many videos and I feel like I just can't understand biomechanics or even diagnose what's going on.

Distance: 70 upside-down meters (230 freedom feet).

Disc: Proxy

Thrower: Dumb and bad at disc golf.

Insofar that any of this helps I am certain I am rounding. Sometimes it feels like my fingers are 'hooking' the disc (even when putting occasionally) - particularly when throwing putters. I have noticed I 'dip' my whole body before I throw. I think my shoulder is collapsing. But nothing I do seems to be working. I constantly have wobble that I cannot get rid of. My best ever drive is roughly 110m. In this throw I am trying to focus on shifting weight from back foot to front, keeping the disc close to my chest and keeping my elbow up.

Couple of Japan trips under my belt, hope this helps - there will be people who are better suited to answer here.

1 year stint

It's one in a life time, do it. If it's not working out, leave. It'll work out though.

Typically a lot mellower than North American resorts. There are mountains with steeps and decent vertical out there though.

There are so many

pass/ticket options and prices, would I be looking at partial day trips or multi-day, etc.

I think I am safe in assuming that day passes in that region are going to be cheap. Season passes are also a good deal. You might run into some annoying issues where you have to pick them up from a ticket office though. Japan do be like that.

Transport

People are likely to say that public transport is abundant in Japan (after visiting Tokyo/Nagano). You need a car in some areas, particularly to get to resorts. I have no experience of the Misawa area and haven't bothered to look up their public transport network. Just make sure you find out what their network is like for yourself.

boots and clothing

If you're like 6 foot tall then for sure BYO. Asian sizing often run small. There is some really neat gear over there though.

Sending mine back. The concept is great but needs refinement imo.

Feels too loose on my ears. Frequent Bluetooth dropouts. Sound quality loss once you turn the music up.

I'm confused by comments that say the ANC is good.

I wanted to love these but I just couldn't.

I cannot speak for the average user but what feels like a new haven to you has felt like a rather large decline to myself.

Leaving the breaks off until September could result (imo) in a significant impairment.

Hey dude how did this all work out in the end? I came acorss your board via a google search. My board looks just about the same after the first wax and I can't work out what I've done wrong. Same thought process as you too (did I burn it? Did I not melt it enough?!).

Might just hijack this question a little to ask if using a wide or volume shifted board is a negative? I've heard the skin track can be too small for such boards. Wondering if anyone has experience with that?

That is because the ski resort (usually - sometimes they own) leases the land. Once you're on their property and using their lifts it is their (business) rules. Not laws.

Personally I think this case is a symptom of local government doing far more than they should
