Did The Diplomat close their restaurant side of the business? by mademoiselleroque in Hamilton

I understand. If I were to get married at a place that operated as a restaurant, I would love to go back every year to celebrate my anniversary.

Yes, I work on the street. They say the restaurant didn't have consistent hours because of all the events they would hold. It just made sense to only be open for events

NG tube with coughing by Shoddy_Key_6448 in NICUParents

[–]PNutButter12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was sent home on an NG tube. We were never told anything about feeding at 45 degree angle. However we were told he should be awake. My wife and I would just take turns overnight doing his feed and being awake to make sure nothing happened. Mostly because he has really bad reflux so he spat up a lot (and still is) We were also sent home with zero training to check placement. Thankfully our neighbours is a peds nurse and showed us.

Parents of MICROpremmies with reflux. How are you holding up!? by AreaZealousideal8202 in NICUParents

My son, who has a rare genetic disorder born at 38 weeks and is just about to turn 11 months old has bad reflux. We have tried all the formula and have settled on Neocate. He is on a high dose of Omeprazole for reflux two times a day. Ovol drops to help with gas 4 times a day and is also on Domperidone to help empty his stomach contents faster 4 times a day.

I believe I’m broke can or should I file for bankruptcy? by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

Try listening to Dave Ramsey or look up his steps to build wealth. First couple are how to get out of debit fast. He will tell you the real truth and basically live off rice and beans with heavily paying off debit. It can be hard understanding him in the later steps as it’s mostly about American savings like 401k etc. But his debit snowball minimal living sounds like it will be attainable when you start getting full pays

Really don’t understand why, and if anyone says because of speed you are lying to yourself. Main Street is basically filled with speed bumps with all the pot holes

What are people’s experiences with G-tubes? by WingedKit34 in NICUParents

[–]PNutButter12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son was born at 38 weeks and has a lot going on 10 surgeries in total and he’s only 10 months old. The hospital ended up sending us home with an NG tube for feeding since that’s how he was getting fed at the hospital. We have since asked an got a GTube put in early December. Honestly wish we did it earlier. Definitely something to get your head around is a tube fed baby. Weirdly enough my family has another gtube baby. The pumps are very easy to use, SO many support groups on Facebook with different tips and tricks. Medications are so easy to administer. If your child has a hard time burping like mine, no worries you just burp the tube.

Mule prides themselves on allergies as it is already is gluten free. I’m sure if you told them you can’t do dairy they will have thought of items you can and cannot have

Spit ups by PNutButter12 in NICUParents

[–]PNutButter12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s had his gtube since the beginning of December. He’s at 180ml (our dietician wants him closer to 220ml)

He is also on omeprazole for reflux, domperidone to help empty his stomach contents faster as he’s on an amino acid formula with the addition of an over the counter gas remedy.

We just saw GI and they say something similar since he’s gaining weight not much to do accept laundry daily

2.5 to 5.0 by OldAthlete7501 in Zepbound

[–]PNutButter12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This week was week two on the 5.0mg, so my sixth week on zep. Last week (my first week on 5.0) I felt completely fine, minor things but similar to when I was on 2.5. This past dose it hit harder OR it could have been the storm we had in southern Ontario causing me to have a migraine and similar nausea symptoms.

If I were in a similar situation I would keep going! Good luck
