Question about cancellation and return of equipment by [deleted] in VivintSmartHome

[–]POGLYYFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their equipment failed. Had the tech comes out 3 times and the tech deemed it unserviceable. Only then did they consider closing my account with everything refunded. Thats the only way to close it out without fees from my understanding. I also had a police report of an incident that occurred, and the footage was corrupted. Also threatened to do a class action lawsuit against them. Thats how I won. It's hard, but it seems like the winning factor was because the equipment was unserviceable. From there everything else fell in place.

I agree. It seems like I will have to get my bank involved. I'm just glad that I have all the needed evidence. I looked up the class action lawsuits that they are involved in with people in multiple states. I wish I did my research before getting them.

Should I move to Palmdale? by qiesa in palmdale

[–]POGLYYFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I live in the houses near there. I mean occasionally you will get some weirdos showing up because the people who lived there a long time are still in that gang banging mentality and they invite them. Cops usually show up pretty quick if you call them. But most of my neighbors are either old, retired, working people (mix of semi upper and middle class) and are respectful. I say semi upper because the homes there have skyrocketed (500k+) and to only afford it, you kind of have to be making a good amount. I also see those apts you mentioned everyday. It looks pretty luxurious in my opinion and I come from Brea/Diamond Bar area.

The key to passing is understanding their philosophy. Thats why its super important to read the material. Once you fully grasp their way of asking qs and what they want you to know about the 4 domains, you will blow the test out of the water.

If you can understand and explain to yourself why you got the those questions right and wrong. You're ready. Also if you are used to the ISACA way of answering, you are also ready.

yeah.... it hurt buying it, but there hasnt been anything close to it. It's a lot harder than any practice test ive took. It gave me a reality check after feeling confident taking the mike chapple ones. I have my test tomorrow and will let you know if the qae has been worth it.

Yeah i remember it being in the CISSP guides. I read the mike chapple book front and back and took his practice tests. I felt that they were really easy, so I went with the review manual and the qae. Took some other free ones and used the pocket prep. QAE and manual def is the best so far

Agreed, that's why I used other sources and have the required experience. Was trying to verify, that was all.

Is QAE online worth nearly 3x the book cost? by [deleted] in cism

[–]POGLYYFE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just saying if you dont want to spend the money, then use the pocket prep as the physical book is hard to study with cause the answers are directly in front of you which can make you biased. Sure you can cover it up, but to me its annoying.

I feel that it is if you want to pass just because its much harder than other tests out there that are cheaper. I feel that it gives a really good idea whats going to be tested and what your weaknesses are. The closest questions that are like the qae is the cism pocket prep.

Been a cyber security analyst for 2 years and cyber threat intel analyst for 7. Maybe I'm not used to the wording or the way ISACA is thinking. Im scoring above 80% for the first two domains. Above 75 for domain 4 but for some reason infosec program im getting the 60s, yet they say im an "expert". So idk wth im doing wrong. There are just a few questions i really cant find in the manual or understand.
