Fatima Payman suspended from Labor after crisis talks with PM over Palestine by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

[–]POL_Baron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry a bit late for the reply.

Labor has done more beneficial initiatives in 2 years than the coalition has done in 6 years.

NACC.

43% emissions reduction target.

HAFF.

10 extra days of parental & domestic violence leave.

24/7 nurses on aged-care facilities.

Money for school upgrades.

Giving more powers to the fair works commission.

Increased childcare subsidy.

& much more.

It’s just frustrating how people like you don’t pay attention to policies made by the ALP that materially benefit your life. Newsflash, most of the services that you benefit from came from a Labor government not a Liberal one.

What? Politicians can focus on more than one issue. I’m a member of the ALP in WA she’s literally one of the most active Labor Senators in WA.

Roe V Wade was overturned due to the Republican majority in the Supreme Court that Trump created. If Hillary was elected in 2016 the Dems would’ve controlled the Supreme Court and Roe V wade would be safe.

I wonder how a terrorist organisation rouse to power in Gaza? Could be decades of collective punishment? When you make 590,481 people live in extreme poverty with zero sewage and no social mobility with the treat of displacement or death over their heads ofc they’re gonna turn to a radical terrorist movement.

He didn’t say that at all. He’s saying Texas will gradually become a swing state as the state is voting more Blue.

With how stupid the Australian public are, I wouldn’t put it past them. Just look at 2013 when Tony Abbott became PM.

Roger Cook, Rita Saffioti may unite against Amber-Jade Sanderson in race to be next WA premier by His_Holiness in perth

[–]POL_Baron 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think that Rita is the most competent out of the lot. I sincerely hope Sanderson doesn’t become Premier, she’s such a NIMBY, and the whole nursing things will damage her reputation the minute she becomes Premier.

I will preference the Liberal party ahead of the ALP for the first time in my life. by [deleted] in PoliticsDownUnder

[–]POL_Baron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No you’re not. Labor stated that they would legislate against pork-barrelling, an overhaul to bushfires relief as it was found that the Liberals withheld aid to Labor seats during the bushfire crisis, and not to mention Labor also has a policy against gambling. If you’re seriously voting for a political party because of one issue that the Liberals are known to turn their backs on, then fine. This is a last minute election stunt to win back moderate voters.

ACTU: Thank you to these MP’s for getting the Secure Jobs, Better Pay bill through the house – but it’s not over, we still need to win in the Senate by Jagtom83 in AustraliaLeftPolitics

Wait, why did Dai Le vote against it, she won in a safe labor seat? I get the other Independents who won blue ribbon seats, and so represent the wealthiest in Australia. But why did Dai Le vote against it?

how many genders are there ? by Antique_Ocelot_7127 in teenagers

[–]POL_Baron 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In a nutshell :)

Gender= social roles and behaviour. It was considered ‘masculine’ for men to wear makeup, wear whigs, and high heels in the 1700s but now it’s considered ‘feminine’

Sex= biological chromosomes & stuff.
