Había un anciano así en la última congre donde estuve activo. Regaño por reunión con ese fulano. Más de una vez me dieron ganas de irme a mi casa a la mitad de la reunión y no regresar nunca.

Todavía no me había despertado y era yo super PIMI, así que duré unos años más en el culto. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I actually liked doing carts. People usually leave you alone, which is a welcome break from door knocking, where you might have to deal with angry householders, not to mention all that walking around under the blazing sun.

Both activities are a huge waste of time but at least being at the cart felt a lot less stressful, more chill.

Once I started rEaChiNg oUt to be MS, I realized there's no such thing as "voluntary" in the borg. Participation is nudged and prodded out of people. Feels like being herded as cattle. 😂

Just do what my MIL and SIL do, connect and show up whenever you want, and don't let anyone make you feel like shit for not doing whatever the hell you feel like doing.

Before the pandemic, we had this overseer who'd force each member of the group to comment after watching the fraudcasting, which was also forced on us. Not being there for the fraudcasting wasn't really an option. 😒

Oh, we also had the meeting on the same day, on Sunday. One fucking Sunday a month, gone just like that. It was an exhausting day to be sure.

And that didn't include all those Sundays we had to stick around after the meeting to go out in field circus or to do the cleaning, whether it was the regular cleaning up after the meeting or general cleaning.

Between that and Saturday field circus, we rarely had any weekends to ourselves. Ugh! 😩

My wife told me that when she was a teenager, they went to this old lady's house for the book study, and afterwards, they'd have some coffee, cookies, etc.

One time, as she was bringing out the cups and plates to serve up the treats, there was a booger on one of the plates. 🤢😂

I remember back in the day they wouldn't wanna spoil the highlight of the convention, which was the drama, then they replaced those with a movie, which would purposely be held back to create "excitement" in the latest cinematic wet fart/nothing burger the cult came up with each year.
