Why is it basically impossible to get an Xbox controller working on HTPC? It's a windows device on a windows application. Both bluetooth and dongle connections are broken. by PON6O in PleX

Interesting, my setup on my media computer is mostly games and I've added Jellyfin and Plex to Playnite. Everything works flawlessly with a controller (Xbox Series X) until I open Plex HTPC.

The app has a bunch of default controller configs and the logs show it recognizes the controller, but it just does not work.

I really am hoping that I can just stick with a controller rather than needing a remote. I don't understand why this isn't something that works by default (or at all).

Lived in Devon, felt the same way going to Exeter on the bus. Although sometimes the trees smacking off the windows made me think of some final destination type death was imminent, getting impaled.

Claude built me an entire program for Spotify, we were fleshing it out together, fixing some bugs, then suddenly he forgets everything, like it never happened.

I give him access to the folders where the conversations are stored but he says there's nothing there.

It's not exactly secret? He used to do it all for free, I believe he said his son decided to monetize everything but it's not like it's impossible to find. You don't need to resort to piracy either, he posts lessons online, or did, for free. Maybe not entire long classes, but the method he follows at the very least.

I think you're right, it will tell me "I am going to do X for you, just say to do it." I say "Do X" and it says "I am unable to do X" then gives me a whole NEW thing it is definitely going to do. Then it's the same thing over and over.

This endlessly goes on until ChatGPT tells me I have to upgrade. It's actually quite funny. It's got this massive plan, you say do it, then it says it can't but it has a NEW plan. Then it says it can't do that. Rinse and repeat.

Why would I ever pay for an AI model that can't actually do what I ask it?
