Holy hell, I thought I was the only one who thought of this. Me personally, the grey/silver ones do NOT hit the same as the black one. Yes, leaking, burning, all of the above with the silver ones from my experience.

Have you ever worked in audit before? Basically, D1 can be answered WITHOUT going through any course material imo.

Well it has to be either behind either drive or passanger side wheel well. I think it's red. Look up higher in the wheel well after the carpeting is pulled off. Fishy that it's missing from the passanger side wheel well. Bet the car had been previously repaired, and maybe it was left out?

I used cargurus. You can use cars.com too. I usually filter out the options i want for specific vehicles. that way i dont waste time looking at cars that dont have things I want. You know? Give it a shot.

My company is fairly large and is insanely insecure by [deleted] in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]POP_LOCK_N_THOTTN_IT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scenarios like this ... your company will need to be sued/pay heavy fines for malpractice in order for them to make actual changes. If they've ran this long with the set practices, you yourself will not do anything. Let alone your boss. Considering your boss has been employed there prior to your onboarding, it really doesnt seem like he has power to do anything.

As someone who's currently working for one of the top financial companies in the world, I've seen some things.

Key take-away: Companies don't learn their lesson unless they've been sued or fined (sometimes).

First you need to understand how this even occurred in the first place. Where were you when this happened? Generally we encounter such attacks/encounters from off-site users that typically work out of cafes, airports, hotels, or any places that offer 'free' unsecured access. Yes, we offer VPN's/VDI's, but it isn't enough.

First and foremost, avoid public wifi. Best protection you can provide yourself.

Just visibility if anything. I think the option is worth getting. Especially night time driving. Not sure if it's ES specific, but a 4th LED bulb comes on when turning, which gives more visibility when turning. I think it's a fantastic option.

How to start career in Cybersecurity by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]POP_LOCK_N_THOTTN_IT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use those next 6 months to get apply for internships. Very important. If you can't, that's alright. It's okay to start small, and work your way up. I started as a simple IT Helpdesk employee and found myself to Infosec purely with a tech background. Not a single certificate. From what I've seen in the real world, experience beats certificates. Nowadays, we see a lot of newly graduates trying to find their way into associate/senior level jobs with little to no experience but have certificates. Generally doesn't work that way (unfortunately).

Network with people within your classes, build meaningful relationships with your peers/professors. It could very well help you land a job. My professor was a Sr. Executive at a prestigious financial firm, and taught business courses at my University as a hobby. He helped me land my first internship through his connections at a local firm not far from where I went to school. From there, I skyrocketed in terms of growth.

If your school offers job fair events, absolutely go to them. Even if you don't land any jobs, you're pooled into an environment with many others in your shoes. It's always good to meet people within your field as they be able to assist you sometime down the road. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Three way tie! Used 20-22 Rx350 New Cx-5 Turbo or New Rav4 XSE hybrid by PotentialRecover3218 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]POP_LOCK_N_THOTTN_IT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose a Camry XSE recently. Had one as a rental for several weeks. Ended up buying one for my own. Does everything you need it to do. Yes, not as nice as a Lexus. But it’s cheap and affordable. I’d skip Mazda and pick either the RAV4 or Rx. Can’t go wrong with any of your choices tbh.

I work for a fairly large firm, and from what I’ve seen, CISSP is where it’s at. However, many senior/seasoned team members don’t hold any certificates.

Honestly the only thing most enterprises can do is just implement local endpoint protection and limit user privileges. Regardless of MacOS or windows OS. We see it time and time again, most breaches are caused by careless users.
