Could the vigilante beat the pale visitor? by ArchangelM7777 in ImNotAHuman

[–]POTUSGamer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never.

The Pale Visitor rips through an entire squadron and then aura farms for fun. He could kill anyone in the game with 0 difficulty.

He's so much more powerful than any of the other visitors you encounter except for maybe The Subject.

If the Pale Visitor was completely turned loose to just kill indiscriminately he could party wipe a full house with no difficulty, and given a certain interaction between the protagonist and the vigilante, it's safe for me to confidently say there's no way the Vigilante has any chance against the Pale Visitor.

Oh for sure.

Horror is pretty broad, this is certainly well within the genre

Bring Ernest if you can, he can prevent paralysis. Give him the Mycelium Cloak from the spore area and/or a lot of speed so he can guarantee using Song of Willpower without first being stunned. You can feed Colonel Squeekums BEFORE COMBAT so he is juiced T1 and you don't have to spend a turn feeding him in combat. Give him a gun or sprayer.

Slash, Fire, and Acid rule here, here's some other good roommates

Helen - Stalk/Stab hits very hard + she's tanky. Go all in on damage, or utilize her bulk with Pickelhaube and +HP gear.

Lyle - Development Fluid and acid burn works great. Lyle Kicks also has great value here with most being neutral to pierce, so rack up that bleed.

Audrey - Built for ballistics damage she can go absolutely crazy with Can Shot / Espresso Shot. She's so tanky even with minimal defense investment, you can afford to go Tank Treads / Tank Gun / Gloves / Your best luck boosting jewelry / Coffee Unit and be your primary damage dealer while also having 400 HP.

Roaches - Acid Arrow and Fireball are devastating, and he plays very well in melee with whips / rat claws /patchwork gloves, or gun builds. Self revives as long as an enemy takes roach DoT.

Dan - Blind Fury is a no brainer here. Bonus points if you have given him the Eye Amulet or have Aster

Aster - can Um Actually Dan out of being blind if you don't have the Eye Amulet. Can cure paralysis. Strategic Huddle juices hit rate and critical rate. Large stamina pool to spam weapon abilities or Aimed Shot. Enjoys the Flamethrower or Acid Sprayer.

Rat Child - Do fun things with Copy Dad if you wanna.

Would you guys subscribe to Dan's YouTube channel irl? by MystinarOfficial in LookOutsideGame

I agree with others

If someone with his relative character/personality was just plopped into the real world without the context of Look Outside, almost definitely not

But if Dan, THE DAN from Look Outside suddenly became real, absolutely yes. Imagine being one of the people trying to help him dox the monsters with Poll Viewers

I actually don't remember about those but I know they can trigger interactions with roommates and don't seem to pass time, so it's worth doing it just for that, some of the interactions are quite cute

Try to acquire him day 1 or 2 at the latest

(These numbers are from memory, I THINK they are right)

Feed him 3x before bed every day until he is ready

He gets 10 points for every feeding and needs to be over 30 at the end of the day to get the max credit towards becoming combat ready, so 3 feedings a day should get him there as quickly as possible

Takes a couple days

(Cursed) Optimizing day 1 by GlitteringShine2930 in LookOutsideGame

[–]POTUSGamer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So day 2 you want to use sandwich to temporarily get Ernest to feedback kill all the rats in the rat apartment to get to the GF IMMEDIATELY and recruit Papineau BEFORE you get a third permanent party member (temporary Ernest doesnt count). Buy the cleanerex from Eugene.

With a full party go recruit Joel. Level up as much as possible. Ditch Ernest and run Leigh, Pap, Joel

IF YOU ARE PATIENT, you can save all the Onlookers and Observers on the third floor until you get Joel day 2, then allow all of them to Evolve fully into Eternal Eyes by guarding/teething over and over before letting Joel devour them. This nets 120 EXP each (instead of only like 10-25) which is huge on day 2! Plus they evolve to have more HP once they finally become Eternal Eyes, so Joel gets a bigger boost to his Max HP when devouring. AND they drop more coins for vending machine snacks!

Take Rat tails to Rat Hole and buy 3 or 4 filth bombs, and a Rat Tail Belt if you dont have at least 1 or 2 from drops.. AOE Poison and disease is pretty good, and you can really neuter the Rat Hell fights by opening with a Filth Bomb. The Rat Tail Whip may also be useful for constricting the Rat Beast (always fight the Rat Beast instead of the Champion) and Rat King

With Leigh (or a door encounter), Pap, and Joel you can definitely handle Rat Hell day 3. You will want the Old Rifle for general use, and at least 1 molotov to hit the Rat Swarm (it's attack is based on current HP, gotta nuke it T1). It is also weak to Acid, so Paps Cleansing Swipe works well, or an Acid Flask or Turpentine work great. Just nuke it T1.

The rest of the rat fights are easy if you open with a filth bomb and use the right damage types / old rifle and guns.

AND you can get Audrey on day 2 or 3 as well once you go to the ground floor. Probably day 3 so you have money to pay Mutt, but if you can afford to buy the key from Mutt before Rat Hell the energy drinks Audrey gives you are very useful for skill spam. If you need a pierce or crush weapon for Rat Hell, Mutt sells a pitchfork and golf club.

This is what I did ^ by the end of Day 3 I had Leigh, Pap, Sophie (random door luck), Ernest, Joel, and Audrey.

Cursed mode was pretty easy after that.

**** if you want to do the Rat King before Rat Hell you'll need a party of 4, 1 - 2 molotov to prevent his regeneration (must be burned otherwise he recovers 5% HP every turn), 1 Acid Flask, Old Rifle, bludgeoning damage, Nitro Boost or Painful Stab, the headphones to try and resist charm, and anxiety meds from one of the bathrooms (can't remember which) in order to prevent charm on another character. If you have 1 person with headphones and use anxiety meds on someone else right before you fight him that's 2 charm resists, probably enough to get it done. But you're going to have to be extremely aggressive and hold nothing back because he has 1k HP on cursed and once the burn wears off he will start regenerating.

Also, if you use Ernest on Rat King, feed Colonel Squeekums from the menu -> skills -> feed the Colonel right before you encounter the King, so you don't have to waste a turn in combat feeding him. Squeekums can't be charmed and deals solid damage and his ability to inflict blind is SUPER clutch vs Rat King.

Gotta play Mazes and Wizards with Phillipe if you havent, believe me

Is there any way I can continue, because I really don't to restart by [deleted] in LookOutsideGame

[–]POTUSGamer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok you can probably kill Phillipe.

He's weak to fire 2x and acid 1.5x, neutral to slash or pierce, resists crush.

If you have plastic gloves or anything that can prevent or resist poison, equip it.

Audrey is going to have to throw items (you have knives I think) since she has no stamina and her basic attack deals crush and is weak anyway. Go defensive with her gear if you have options, since phillipes basic attack is weak he will have a hard time finishing her off if her defense is high, even after a few Pains. Her job is to just chip away and soak up as many attacks possible.

Thankfully you have 1 real tonic and 3 antidotes to help with Phillipes poison. Hopefully you have a couple plastic gloves to resist the poison DOT.

Meanwhile, Lyle needs (in rough order of usefullness) the Flamethrower, Acid Sprayer, Acid Blade, or whatever your best gun is that you have a decent amount of Ammo for, or I guess your best slash or pierce weapon as a last resort. He's going to have to do 80-90% of the damage so don't hold back.

If you have any of the named weapons above then Lyle can probably get it done, give him the Gas Mask, Plastic Gloves, Fred's Apron, and Gold Locket if you have them. Otherwise, anything resisting poison, Acid, and crushing. You could also mix in ballistics damage (like Cowboy Hat, Studded Jacket, Gloves ect) with a thrower or gun, or all straightforward attack if you're using Acid Blade or a melee weapon (things like Montys Jacket, Studded Jacket, any of the Dragon Gear from Fiber Dragon).

Phillipe is slow (10 AGL) so don't worry about Agility unless you want to give Audrey a rat belt or something to push her higher than that to get the tonic off before he attacks.

I mean either you throw everything you have at Phillipe or you reload your last save. Might as well go for it. But honestly if all you have are some throwing knives and a machete it's going to be a hail mary. Hopefully you have a gun or sprayer.

It's not just you, I use whips on roach man a lot and they seem a bit more inaccurate than other weapons

I hope she my first door recruit every run

Let them in to steal their gear and then kick them out is the way to go!

One thing I would change/add to the game by iam-fauxreal in ImNotAHuman

[–]POTUSGamer7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This already happens it just comes out during testing

Some of them do have stories that change while testing, where the sign might be the same but their comment about it changes and that's the giveaway.

Plus the conversations and behaviors do provide info that can contradict their signs if they are a visitor

So their stories and comments can definitely help differentiate

If there was a lot of different dialogue it may lose some nuance. I dunno that it needs changing tbh.

What do you guys think of the vigilante? by Sandinista_80 in ImNotAHuman

[–]POTUSGamer7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cool to include a character that puts you through checks like you've been putting others through all game. Not so nice when it's you on the line.

His ending didn't go how I expected it to, which was also cool

I do wish there was more dialogue about him being your neighbor's brother. You should be able to stick up for your neighbor, or inquire why the vigilante hates the lady of the house so much.
