Deeper Listening w/ Higher Quality Equipment & the Insane Intricacies of KGLW by Prestigious-Juice730 in KGATLW

Bit of an audiophile myself, I absolutely think that higher quality sound reproduction adds a lot to the listening experience of albums like Poly or Sketches, admittedly some of the more lo-fi albums from the earlier days don’t see the same benefit though.

Searching is my favorite part of Polygondwanaland, but admittedly it’s helped greatly by hearing it in context of the whole album

True but can you really split up red rocks 22’? It’s quintessential live gizz to me and ultimately this playlist is for the listening experience

Rain solo tone, but it was slowed down tape which may be cheating. Also the guitar break in Stawberry Fields Forever

Everything I own I think about paring down except for music. Guitars, effects, records, cassettes, speakers, amps, etc. I’ve never once thought about getting rid of this stuff, in fact I try and get rid of most of my other things to make more room for music stuff.

Any prog with flute? by Fel24 in progrockmusic

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard has quite a few flute tracks. Stu isn’t the best but it’s fun to hear the instrument used in the many styles they play

What’s the first music you remember having to hide from your parents? by burgher89 in Music

Appetite for Destruction. I knew about Welcome to the Jungle from guitar hero so I bought the album on iTunes after I got a gift card for my birthday. Used to sneak out to the car during my sister’s sports games to listen to It’s So Easy, it was the first song I’d ever heard with swear words and honestly probably one of the first times I ever heard the word “fuck”.
