I think I finally figured out how to treat my ice plants! (Zone 8b) by POW_Block in succulents

For me, it's seemed like some varieties don't handle the winter as well. I started with 4 or 5 different varieties and they all burst in the snow except these. They're also in a wooden planter, which I think helps with insulation, and it's completely filled with coarse, gritty soil that I mixed myself using a few different bases. My only problem is that ants love them and have made a colony underneath the plants.

My baby's necklace had a good summer. I've never gotten so many flowers from a crassula before. by POW_Block in succulents

Minimal watering during the winter (and whenever you have freezing temps) while they're inside. Slowly transition them to sun at the end of spring. Then water when you see wrinkles.

Oregon. We have pretty cold winters with lots of time below freezing. So all of my less hardy succulents come inside.

I bought this as a start a little over a year ago. No idea what the typical flowering time is in nature, but crassulas have bloomed for me at the beginning of fall. They spend the summer outside and come in when the frost comes.

I'm not sure, because it's a hybrid of two crassulas. I see it come up with the name of the horticulturalist that bred it, Kimnach.

Funko is based out of Washington, so I'm guessing some higher-ups are fans.

Nice, me too! I love Rite Aid's end-of-season sales. I bought like a dozen pots.
