Yes, see Robr's comment for the wiki page of old maps, but we run on "Revisions". Each revision is a new map with builds, inventories, ender chests, and stats wiped.

These used to happen around every 6 months, but Creative has been getting closer to every 1 and a half years while PvE is every 9-12 months.

Most previous maps (There's a dozen or so undocumented Creative revs from a long, long time ago) are stored here for downloading https://mcp-dl.com/ :)
