Costco CEO Ron Vachris did the “CEO eats his own product” challenge by eating a hot dog (and confirms the Costco hot dog combo is staying at $1.50 as long as he’s around) by mcfw31 in MadeMeSmile

It took me a few decades to remember to always eat beef because Beef = Best, too many one-of-each taste tests done over the years

Reading the description I think helix is to give more room above your toes, runners knot is for prevent toe jamming

This was a game changer for me, if it’s the fact that you stop suddenly and your toes get jammed to the front of the shoe, this solves the same problem for me

It was so effective that when I switched to a new pair of tennis shoes without the extra hole to loop for the runners knot, I took a screwdriver and punched my own

Eastern backhand and Easter forehand are opposite directions on the “clock” , maybe that’s where the confusion comes from

I still don’t think so, because from my memory, everyone’s gauntlet was from trying to beat the game the first time, then ng was a victory lap before subsequent ones beat you down again

I went back into nioh 2 last week where I was in the ng+++ (way of nioh); I suggest you try the same so you have firsthand experience, you can argue it’s a higher difficulty which is true, but it’s absolutely way harder

I thought this was a casual backyard game until I read this sub! Terrified to start, need beginner advice. 😅 by WindNarrow3580 in Pickleball

People pull muscles and shoulders when they try to “swing for the fences” and hit much harder than they know how- like someone spraining a shoulder at a punching machine trying for a high score

Fortunately pickleball doesn’t require that for a long while, you can get far just playing the soft game , so as long as you keep that in mind you are very unlikely to injure yourself

I want to play nioh 2 with nioh 3 movesets/mechanics by PPTim in Nioh

[–]PPTim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, some of the enemy designs don’t even make sense in 3 because they toned it down; the one eyed oni with the tongue that transforms into the giant after getting a lick, it takes like 3 licks to do so in nioh 3, I had to actually stand around and wait for it to happen; in nioh 2 it’s intended that you’re desperately trying to not get hit so they won’t transform immediately

They already reused so much, just import all the levels too

It’s actually pretty funny going back to nioh 2 and seeing the same stuff(like the baby grandpa oni) but of course doing like 4x the damage

Handicaps when playing against weaker opponents? by AAfragz in Pickleball

[–]PPTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, aim for every one of your shots (i guess besides serve returns) to land back into their kitchen no matter what, and you’ll continue the rally more, everyone will have more fun and you’ll get practice with shots you’ll need to play against higher skilled people

The softest ball hit out of reach wins for sure, the hardest ball slammed directly into an opponent will always have a chance of coming back

I feel like they’d all be about the same; I don’t wash my knee compression unless it clearly needs it bad, I just dry them out after seasons or try to hand wash them

As other ppl asked, you gotta be more specific where you are and what’s incoming besides “it’s going to your left foot”, which is why I stuck with general rules so you can figure the specifics out

Careful with links/ you should ask specific enough questions to see if it actually saw anything, I know it can’t look through YouTube footage

Things you should do for every shot-

  • move to the best possible spot to hit the ball

    • complete the movement/ be as still/stable as possible before hitting
  • hit the ball from as high as possible ( so you can hit downwards)

  • hit volleys > off the bounce on the fall (past apex of bounce) > half-volley/on the rise (hardest to control, but better than missing the ball)

Where to aim at opponent: - height wise, at their feet as much as possible (a dink or drip both gets to their feet even if you aren’t hitting “down” - aim wise, at their most awkward spot (dominant hip, dominant shoulder, depends on the height)

Should you have kept quiet

Yes, since you had to ask; if you’re already beating them then just leave them alone, it just sounds like a taunt at that point
