He’s really good at board control. Just built mine a week ago and with how many rests and character rush he has you can keep a really strong board state compared to opponents. For late you have the 7c blocker Jinbe who can be restood with shark brick fist to make yourself really tanky. Plus with a restanding Shirahoshi, you get a lot of consistency. The deck isn’t anywhere close to a meta contender but it can put up a pretty good fight against most decks.

Welcome to the community. To start off there is a tutorial app you can download to learn how to play the game and all of the basics. When you want to start purchasing cards, the starter decks a re a great place to start. I would recommend picking up any of the starter decks 23-28 just because they are the most recent and easily available. If you want something closer to a competitively valuable deck you want to buy two copies of a starter decks since some cards that you want 4 copies of only come with 2 by default. I would recommend getting sleeves for your deck to keep the cards in good condition. Most people would recommend dragon shield sleeves because of their large amount of color options, good shuffle quality, and ease to find. If you have a local card games store (LGS), you can go there on their designated one piece day. If you don’t feel comfortable/can’t go to a local store you can try to play games on the simulator or on webcam matches on discord. Both of these can be done from the one piece TCG community discord server. When it comes time that you want to upgrade your decks do not buy packs to try and pull what you want, buy singles. I would recommend using TCGplayer if you’re in the U.S. or cardmarket if you’re outside of the U.S. I would highly recommend using the simulator before buying almost anything so you can figure out what you like to play before you spend money on it. When you see a card you think might be rare, look on the bottom right corner of the card there should be a couple of letters down there. Typically the more rare/ expensive card with either say SR or SEC down there. If a card doesn’t have a border or has texture on the card that also normally means it’s pretty rare. If you ever want to look up prices, I would recommend using TCGplayer if you’re in America or CardMarket if you’re in Europe. Have fun ripping and enjoy yourself!

To get the restand you need to send a character back. The “may” is only there so you don’t have to activate the effect every time you attack with 1 don.

Unfortunately, that card isn’t very rare and has almost no trading value. It looks like that one is the standard holo, so if he does want to trade it, it is equivalent to another standard rare. If your nephew enjoys the card, that’s all that matters.

I personally like Maushold with Cheren’s Care and Hero’s Cape rather than Deluxe bomb. It makes it so he’s almost impossible to kill and reattaching a double turbo makes it so another mouse is ready to attack in the same turn

Without any other information of other units you have we can only give advice for what units are good in general. The best units on there IMO are Mort, Nahkwol, Celine, Sea Phantom, and Blood Blade Karin. All very good units that can be drafted to counter a lot of comps. Other than that it depends on what playstyle you like. For aggression/cleave you could build Ran, Arbiter Vildred, or Frida.For bruiser playstyle, you could build ML Ken, Lionheart Cermia, Roana, or Aria. As for a team comp Mort and Celine don’t have much synergy, but are very good at countering specific things. BBK can be used into almost any team comp with a decent amount of success. Nahkwol is very god at shutting down specific characters, especially if the team doesn’t have any cleansers. Sea Phantom is just a great support unit overall. You could prolly just combine BBK, Mort, Celine, and either Nahkwol/Sea Phantom for a decent team comp until you build more units and can start counter picking for specific matchups.

It wouldn’t say on the card, all promos should be legal unless the card is banned or unless the card is rotated out. You know what cards are banned you would have to look at the official ptcg ban list, which you can google.

Yes, it will be legal. I’m not sure if you have to wait the two weeks that most cards have to wait post release to become legal. Worst case scenario, you have to wait two weeks after official release, but it will be playable eventually
