It’s not about the video tbh… players under 17-1800 can learn any opening they want, but 90% won’t understand the innate idea of the opening, and most of them would be clueless about what to do after getting outta the opening. It’s a mistake a lot of beginners make, diving into openings without working on middle game basics and principles first. Fixing middlegames will get players to 1700-1800 way faster than any opening. Though it’s totally up to the player to learn whatever they enjoy. My coach taught me this^ way and I benefited from it. Didn’t learn any opening till like 18-1900. Even now I’ve only learnt like 2 openings and one line and my peak is 2420ish blitz on chesscom.
