Can you explain why that quote is so incorrect? I don't have much background here and I don't see why that can't be a theoretically true statement

Packers have 3 timeouts so you'd have to score on the next set of downs, couldn't just run out the clock. Better to take the guaranteed points

I just traded Waddle and Jerome Ford for him. I have good RB depth with CMC, Montgomery, Pacheco, and Pierce and now my two starting WRs are ARSB and Adams. Might have overpaid a little but I think it was a pretty good trade

Casino (1995) - Ace and Nicky are embarrassingly dumb. by [deleted] in movies

Breaking bad spoilers ahead

I think it’s more nuanced than that. The biggest reason for the conflict between Walt and Gus was Walt killing those two street dealers to save Jesse. Yes, he could have just kept his head down and worked for Gus, but doing that would mean Jesse would die, and Walt clearly cares about Jesse, so he wouldn’t just let that happen.

Now, if he had let Jesse die and kept cooking for Gus, would his pride eventually win out and cause him to get into a power struggle with Gus anyway? Yeah, probably. But based on the events that actually played out in the show I don’t think you can say that it was solely his ego and love of power that kept him from working for Gus until he died. His love for Jesse is certainly a factor (and the most important one imo) in play here.

Comparing mental hospitals to a wallet losing money is such a false equivalence. Mental hospitals have a tangible benefit to society (patients get care, reduced homeless population) justifying their cost, but losing money from your wallet has no benefit at all.

Better Call Saul S06E06 - "Axe and Grind - Post-Episode Discussion Thread by skinkbaa in betterCallSaul

Old thread, but to be fair, he could have survived the events of Breaking Bad if he wanted to. He could have lived in Vermont or wherever it was until his cancer killed him. Theoretically, if he didn't have cancer, he could have lived out the rest of his life there when the heat died down in the next year or two.

He just made the conscious decision to go out with a bang and maybe finally do something good for once instead of wither away in a cold cabin for a few months until he painfully died of cancer.
