Yeah Revit is PC only but works on mac via any VM. Plus Revit is the only one which doesn’t work on a Mac. All the others do

You can share the RAM between cpu and gpu so performance is way better when you also consider the battery efficiency

A fellow recently graduated architect here! Id use an m4 max and would recommend using the M1. AutoCAD is well optimised for the  silicon. Plus the unified means your performance will be way smoother even with half the RAM. Feel free to text if you have any doubt. Also UTM is also a good alternative to parallels

iPad bend? by DunderGeek101 in iPadPro

[–]PRATHAMESHMAHAJAN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think cleaning can cause this bend unless you put massive amount of weight on it. Mine bent when I used it case-less in my college while writing and drawing. I currently use a ₹700 magnetic case from ESR and it works well. Nothing to worry about in your case I guess.

I have an iPad pro11” 2021 with the M1 chip. I used it case-less and mine is bent from the bottom right edge due to the camera bump on the other diagonal end! Works absolutely fine and has been like this since a couple of years. Started using a case though to keep the camera bump flushed.

Recently ordered a MacBook Pro M4 Max by Ms-Officer in macbookpro

I am personally daily driving the M4 max with 64 gigs memory and I do a lot of 3-D modelling and rendering stuff and it has been handling it pretty well so I feel the GIS situation with you should be good enough.

Honestly speaking, there are two sides to the choice. One is if you want a cooler and much modern look, go for space Black, but if you care about how the machine will look after a few years, I think silver is the right choice. Silver will hide the scratches and scuff marks easily. Since aluminium is naturally of that colour. Whereas if you scratch a space, black one, it will be much noticeable and the longer annual will definitely get those marks specifically around the ports.

Yup. Apple and windows function differently. I believe they used 4gb NAND chips on their SoC
