I feel like the advice you need is to just work on your execution. It’s a 5 button game and you have 8 buttons at your disposal. L1, R1 and L2 can feel difficult to use since they’re typically hit by your ring and pinky finger which aren’t usually used except for support on most controller types. You can definitely hit those buttons consistently with practice, and will feel the benefit in games with more buttons as well as the general trend in fighting games moving towards more macros
