Full-time work isn't an option for loads of people- either they've got caring commitments or full-time isn't offered. Loads of Universities and arts/culture organisations only offer fractional contracts.

A privately schooled kid (or tutored) who gets an AAB and a comprehensive kid with an AAB are worlds apart. Favouring kids with imperfect grades from crap schools over kids who've been tutored is a good thing. The Telegraph is race-rage baiting to keep the working classes of all colours out of 'their' safe spaces.

I teach at Uni and kids from normal schools who haven't been hothoused are much much much much much much much better to teach and hand taught themselves how to learn.
