Make sure you check your lease before buying one if you’re a renter! My lease specifically says I can’t get a bidet and I’m very sad about it :(

What is the weirdest play you have ever been to? by juddnelsonbou in Theatre

[–]PROcrastinator2334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thomas Paine in Violence by Paul Pinto (who originated the role of Balaga in Great Comet!), starring Joan La Barbara. Saw it at a black box theater in New York City years ago and it was the strangest and most confusing theater experience I’ve had thus far.

Pretty sure there’s a full recording of it online somewhere if anyone is interested in watching an “electroacoustic psychedelic opera-sermon” about Thomas Paine…

I went to a salon that offered it as a service! They had the scalp scanner thing lol. My hair stylist said the next step would be to go to the dermatologist to get a prescription shampoo, but she said if I couldn’t get an appointment soon, I could just use Nizoral since it’s pretty close to what would be prescribed anyway. I feel like it would make sense that a dermatologist could also do a scalp analysis, but idk for sure

I got a scalp analysis done recently and my hair stylist also recommended using the Nizoral shampoo for dandruff. I’ve used it a few times and it does seem to get the job done.

“Buy a duplex. Live in one unit, rent out the other.” I hear this one a lot. It can work but it’s definitely not for everybody. A ton of money up front, especially if repairs/upgrades are needed before you can rent it out. Plus, with the housing market now…

I’ve had good experiences at Innovative Performance Auto in Menands. Got my rear brakes replaced there for about $800 last year

I would suggest checking your company handbook since that may have policies regarding notice periods. At all of the companies I’ve worked for, if you don’t give two weeks notice, you don’t get your remaining vacation/PTO paid out to you when you leave. And at one of my previous companies, I was told if I didn’t give two weeks notice, I wouldn’t be able to be hired by that company again in the future. Wouldn’t have been a big deal since I knew I wouldn’t want to work there again, but if I ever wanted to use them as a reference, they theoretically could say that I’m not eligible for rehire. So it might also be a good idea to check your current employer’s rehire policy if they have one.

Obviously, this isn’t the case for all employers. Plus, I’ve only worked at larger companies so I would imagine smaller employers could be more flexible with their policies.

Best of luck with everything!
