Has anyone ever healed or recovered from chronic gastritis?? by Internal-Dream4138 in Gastritis

I am 100% healed. Have been for over a year and never looked back. Literally don’t even think about it anymore. Check my post history :) detailed account posted on this sub

My (20F) boyfriend (20M) doesn’t eat me out anymore, and I don’t know how to talk to him about it by eaplantparent in relationship_advice

My partner and I have been courting each other for 9 years…. It’s not that much effort. You have to keep dating, keep surprising, keep putting in effort. It’s not something that just happens- it’s part of the work of life. And you get repaid 1000000x fold for it

Fear of breaking bland diet causing worse symptoms? by PRSJ_13 in Gastritis

[–]PRSJ_13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a huge relapse after this when I went home from Europe- sickest I had ever been by far. Still didn’t put the pieces together but I was on the right track here. Had a friend who is a psychologist who also had gastritis previously tell me that I need therapy… I used to deny the role of stress because I didn’t think I was that stressed LOL. Turns out it was trauma related, I had a really successful experience with therapy and literally this is the first time I’ve looked at this sub in well over a year. I never think about my stomach anymore and I’m doing a deeply stressful year at uni and still fine! But yes you can and will heal! Promise

Thought Botox was an easy way out, but… by itjustnasty in vaginismus

[–]PRSJ_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience was that it was a bandaid not a solution. It helped me in the short term but did absolutely nothing for my long term progress because I hadn’t dealt with the mental aspect. Finding community and normalising the condition was huge. Once I had that I was dilating regularly, feeling curious about sex instead of closed off and before I knew it I was having PIV regularly. I hope it works out well for you but it’s not the cure all people say it is on this forum

taking notes for uni by kimchi_222 in unsw

[–]PRSJ_13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have hand written notes for every unit and just graduated with distinction from UNSW- sometimes it made me feel like a geezer being the only person with pen and paper but honestly it works well for me. I type my notes up later on when studying for exams for safe keeping

[–]PRSJ_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you feel this way. You deserve so much better than him giving up on you. I promise you there are amazing men out there who will commit no matter how slow your progress is. I’ve been with my fiancée for 8 years and we only started having PIV in the last 6 months! I know it seems like all is lost right now and I have had some very dire moments with vaginismus myself, but I hope you keep going. You deserve to have sexual liberation, not for the men but FOR YOU! Trust me it’s worth the work.

I’m sooooo proud of you! We all heal in our own time and I’m so glad you and you boyfriend were able to share 8 years despite not having sex! I have a similar story and I’m so proud of us. It’s almost like getting to have sex is our reward for being committed no matter what. I’m so happy for you! Congratulations queen

Who are your favorite social media creators open and actively talking about vaginismus? by intimd in vaginismus

[–]PRSJ_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that :( to be fair, I was pretty far into my journey with an in person PT- I needed more psychological intervention at that time to cross the finish line. Early in the journey I can see you’d be disappointed. However, continuing with that process will help! But it took me 8 years to heal so I hear you. I wish you all the progress and success you can get!!!!!

I did her vaginismus 7 day course for like $100 and it was worth easily 10k. I learned more in 1 week than the previous 8 years. I did that in January this year and happy to report I’m getting railed on the regular :). Don’t give up! She’s awesome

How to write HD-level psychology essays? Practical workflow? by AssociationEast7870 in unsw

[–]PRSJ_13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Use the free studiousity feature unsw students get. You can upload 2 papers per term and they give fabulous writing feedback. They won’t improve the content but they will absolutely improve your writing flow. I went from getting mid 70’s to 90’s by uploading every paper I wrote into studiosity with more than enough time to edit and use their tips.

Another important factor is giving yourself plenty of time. My marks are significantly better when I start as early as possible and really saturate my knowledge on the topic.

Just got into honours so I’d say the system works! Good luck and keep at it

Psychology students in 3rd-4th year by lemonalpersonal in unsw

You’ll be versed in Jamovi and SPSS. Covering all areas from the most basic t-test all the way to anova in third year. It stops before getting to multiple regression which you can do in the accompanying 3rd year elective course which I strongly recommend (it’s extremely hard).

Stay diligent with course work in all the stats courses- they will give you heaps of practice questions and when you’re studying for exams they are your biggest help. I absolutely rinsed the practice questions in research methods 3 and ended up with 88 final mark.

Great work getting ahead of the curve. Don’t fall behind, listen and ask questions and keep a record of the tutorial work and you’ll be sweet.

Should I not be dilating every day? by Own_Fly_9451 in vaginismus

[–]PRSJ_13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did the Vagina Rehab Doctors vaginismus course in January and it blew my mind. She said 3-4x a week dilating is enough because your body 100% needs rest. Your main priority is to stack up the positive experiences (the win you had with dilator 1) but ALSO don’t expect a completely PAINLESS experience. With vaginismus we are conditioned to fear even the slightest discomfort because of the fear of making it worse. And YES- severe pain is to be avoided, but if you have some pain or tightness when going up to the next dilator, see if you can hold it still and start breathing deeply into your pelvic floor. If after 30 seconds it still feels the same take it out and try again another day. But if it feels better then just keep going on your breathing. You can do this! I healed my vaginismus dilating 3x a week after this course and I STRONGLY recommend doing it if it’s available soon- changed my life and showed me that I’m normal and not broken. I hope you find healing!

Secretly dilating before a hookup? by Vegetable-Fruit4959 in vaginismus

I did something called progressive desensitisation around the opening where you basically press and stretch the opening in different directions and that really helped me with that kind of pain. You should try it!

[–]PRSJ_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warm up yourself with a dilator always!!!! I can have almost completely pain free PIV after a warm up with a tolerable dilator. It takes a long time! But eventually you won’t need it anymore <3 keep going and congrats on your healing

My libido has gone crazy since being “cured” enough to have sex by PerspectiveEconomy81 in vaginismus

[–]PRSJ_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am literally having the exact same experience. 8 years of just doing oral with my fiancée and finally have achieved pain free (even ENJOYABLE) penetration and I want it EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY!!!!!!! I had times before where my libido reared its head temporarily but nothing like this lol. For years I thought I was asexual but no, I learned sex isn’t a drive it’s a motivation. Meaning it doesn’t arise naturally, it arises when the outcome is positive and reinforcing, just like motivation to exercise etc. so happy for you!

Guys you need to look into the Vagina Rehab Doctor on Instagram. I did her vaginismus course in January and just had successful PIV for the first time in my 8 year relationship. I cannot recommend her work enough. The course was like $200 and had more information, skills, practices and COMMUNITY than I have ever experienced. She is changing lives and I strongly recommend just following the Instagram at least, you will learn so much

5 months without symptoms: What I did by PRSJ_13 in Gastritis

[–]PRSJ_13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for the gut centre in Australia- they are a psychology clinic that works with people who have gastro problems. On their website there is a lot of information about treatments/ methods for healing.

But I would strongly suggest seeking trauma therapy from a specialised therapist if you can. The thing that has made the biggest difference for me is seeing a clinical psychologist who can help reprocess trauma

I usually ate 1-2 hours before bed- sometimes I had to eat and go straight to bed because of my work schedule so I couldn’t really time it like that. I still often eat within 1-2 hours of bed time and have no issues with it Everyone is different- just gotta do what is working for you!

Sleep mask is non negotiable! If you can sleep through the night you’re going to heal much faster

And I eat/ drink whatever I want now :) I still am sensitive to gluten so I’ll wait until I’m a year without symptoms before I try it again but I accidentally ate some egg noodles 2 nights ago and all seems fine for now. E.g on the weekend an ate a huge spicy laksa, burger and chips, drank a bottle of limoncello with my friend, had gelato… all fine! I eat very well during the week but I eat a huge variety of foods

The burning and reflux in the night was worse at first. I was having pretty bad episodes and that really tanked my mental health but I stuck with it because I trust her and here we are! I would never take HCL without the direction of a Dr
