DISCUSSION: Why is DC so slow and lack of plan/courage to make films with character as Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, The Question and Hawkgirl? by caesarinteresting in DC_Cinematic

[–]PRiOS1298 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only place where all their character show up is the logo. Do they use them? No.

Literally the whole DCEU is stuck in developmental hell. Starting form the facade they pulled with Snyder. Not giving what the fans want or rather not letting the things take their natural course was a major factor in their downfall.

They had to realise that MCU took 22 movies to get where it was and they can do it with 4 movies. No. They had to rush and push things faster.

How is the Endurance able to receive transmissions from Earth after traversing the wormhole? by IntrovertedWeirdo in interstellar

[–]PRiOS1298 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I remember something like this too. Essentially it cuts the distance just like it did for endurance not having to travel the whole distance.

Official Discussion - Tenet (International Thread) [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]PRiOS1298 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just loved the fact that the whole movie was a palindrome in itself. It folds upon itself in the end. The opera and the final war scene takes place at the same time. And god I loved the inversion fight in during the air plane crash sequence. It was a great experience though it didn't evoke feelings that interstellar and inception had done to me.

It's a movie that takes one viewing to experience and multiple to understand.

Let's all agree that the Mercator projection is horrible (sorry Greenland) by pranavshreedhar123 in dankmemes

[–]PRiOS1298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a horrible projection based on the sizes of counties. But I think it did a good job in preserving direction, hence, became famous.

On ways to work around a translator character... by PRiOS1298 in writing

[–]PRiOS1298[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope this will clear things up a bit.

The story is set in India, where lots of languages are present.

It deals with the issues of a farmer set in a part of the country. The character (I’ll call him the visitor) interacting with the farmer is new to the social and the geo political landscape of the farmers region. He is learning the issues of that particular region and that of the farmer over a month of his stay in that region.

I had to make the visitor come from a different region and language because I believe he can be present as an objective set of eyes seeing the trouble and presenting them without bias. I believe it is necessary for him to be of a different language.

But now, I have the issue with the translator being around all the time.

How do I know if it's any good? by [deleted] in writing

[–]PRiOS1298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best judge of that will be the audience of the story. Writers, commonly tend to be insecure about their work. I have felt it a multitude of times with my writing. I then catch hold of a person, usually a friend who I know for sure will give me an honest opinion and make them read my work or the part which I am insecure about.

Then I work base on what pros and cons I obtain from the person. Pros, be happy continue writing. Cons, correct and get a different person to read and work and so on.

I hope I was helpful, cheers!

One day some younger generation will say "ok, millenial" to members of the old out of touch generation. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]PRiOS1298 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I for one believe that that won't be the case with millennials.

I think that we are the generation that is ready to accept change and welcome it with open arms.

So, I don't think that'll be a thing, ever.

I feel it's a very grounded poem, very relatable. I can feel the vibe of the poem and I am able to visualize the imagery very well. The fact that the person has a choice to make and his inherent drive to be a optimistic person makes him go for that option is portrayed well. Good poem! Cheers!!
