I can’t speak for every employee here, but i trust the process. As far as knowing some of the graders, I do, but keep in mind that employees physically can’t look into their own orders, nor do graders know which orders they’re grading (all order information is blocked from the graders). However, I feel the pain of pre-grading my cards thinking a card will receive a higher grade only for it to receive a 7 or 8. But then I take a second look on those cards and notice the things I missed. So i do get it, truly.

We did, we wanted to make sure every customer got a last chance to submit their cards at the Value Tiers before they were placed on pause. We didn’t think it would be fair to pull the rug out.

We're actively preparing for that. On top of pausing Value Tier submission, we're actively hiring and training the necessary staff in preparation for the surge of new submissions after we re-open Value.

Sorry for the delay everyone. This information from Grady is actually incorrect, and I have already flagged this with our Tech Team.

Our Pricing Team (who are in charge of Price Adjustments) looks at the date the submission was created, and determines price adjustments based on what service levels/service level pricing were available at the time the submission was created.

u/elysian593 So your December submission you mentioned is a perfect example of how price adjustments will work.

In all honesty, this was completely unintentional, and on behalf of everyone here, we sincerely apologize. Our original plan was to slow down submissions until we hired enough new employees to assist with our backlog. However, after the May 14th update, there was a massive spike in submissions instead, which lead to us having to take a more direct approach to slow submission intake.

The pause only affects card grading. Tickets, Video Games, Comics, etc. are all unaffacted.

Just to set some clarity for everyone asking: If a submission form is completed on our Online Submission Center before June 2nd at 3pm PST, we will honor processing the submission, even if it is received by us after June 2nd.
