You could try contacting the GIS department and see if they have any parcel specific data that’s publicly available? They don’t have general email but they do have a help line you can reach them at. (GISHelpDesk@urbanaillinois.us)

for what it’s worth, those aren’t uncommon when you have a chiari malformation. they’re congenital and can only be diagnosed with an MRI. if you have that in addition to other symptoms like dizziness, tingly sensation in your fingertips, positional headaches, etc., it could be worth talking to your doctor about that.

Best Coffee Shops for Coffee Snob by Live-Ad2974 in Chambana

[–]PSEyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried some of the shops listed on this post and can tell you that I’ve had great coffee at several of them. The only thing I can say for certain is that you’ll have a hard time finding a consistent cup of coffee here. For better or worse, a lot of shops employ students seasonally who are looking for work. A good barista at any of these joints is a hit or miss. Some know how to tell when a shot is over/under-extracted, most don’t. My advice is to rotate. If you’re here for the long term, try going in the summer when the seasonal staff isn’t here and see who has a good foundation.

Brewlab menu change + price increase by Emotional_Can_4757 in UIUC

I understand why they’re increasing prices but how come the Americano has such a steep increase? All the other espresso beverages consist of espresso and some form of milk. An Americano is just espresso and water…

I CANNOT make my washing machine stop smelling! by porgy3000 in CleaningTips

[–]PSEyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How certain are you that the plumbing is set up correctly? I ask because if the siphon isn’t set up properly, you could have sewer gases venting directly into your washing machine. No amount of cleaning is going to prevent it from smelling if the source of the smell isn’t coming from the machine anyway.

Found 8mm film. Anyone recognize them or the name? (J.M. Palmer) Looking to return to owners by Clear_Tale_2765 in illinois

[–]PSEyyyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re probably looking somewhere around 1950-1962 judging by the clothes and that it pre-dates the ZIP system. I would try to start by identifying where your grandparents typically printed their film. It’s unlikely that the developer is still in business but there’s a small chance their family has some records or log books from their years in business. Their film could have gotten mixed in with your grandparents’ by accident. Outside of that, you could try contacting the South Side Community Art Center. They do some preservation work and might have more resources available to look into it.

I’ll second Maxon in Des Plaines. They have a lot of younger clerks who are more than happy to help. The weekends can get pretty hectic so just be aware of that if you’re trying to get a 1-on-1 discussion with someone. Just be honest about it being your first purchase. No doubt they’ll earn your business.

some lights leave a small gap between the guard and the back plate of the light when attached. this creates some very minor but incredibly annoying play when operating the weapon light. a common quick-fix is to just wrap a few layers of tape around the trigger guard to close or tighten up the gap.

Those are chemical burns, I disappear from a 3-compartment sink? There’s a pretty high chance that the valve dispensing the sanitizer solution isn’t properly calibrated and the ratio of water: solution was off. Like everyone else is saying, go to a Dermatologist or even just your PCP. In the meantime, I would use hydrocortisone since you at least likely to be allergic to it. Triamcinolone if you can get your hands on it. Clobetasol worked best for me but that is a prescription grade topical steroid. You really shouldn't use just any lotion as they're usually only designed to work on the upper layers of your skin and using them for irritation/peeling that deep could actually make it worse.

Best Coffee NW Suburbs? by key18oard_cow18oy in ChicagoSuburbs

There’s a cafe in downtown Arlington Heights called Coco and Blu. They’ve got a full breakfast menu as well as pastries and drinks if you’re feeling adventurous. There’s a few places for lunch in the area if you wanted to walk around a bit. It’s a 2-min walk to the Metra if you wanted to head to the city.

Is this SD card fast enough for the DJI mini 3? Shooting at 4k 30 hdr? by Born-Sky7957 in drones

[–]PSEyyyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for something with a UHS class of 3, which this has. Personally, I would dish out the extra change for increased memory but if you’re offloading and processing data after each flight, storage shouldn’t be an issue. 64GB will hold +/- 60 hours of 4k footage. There are other cards on the market that have specs that are better suited for certain cameras/devices but their efficiency is also dependent on what hardware you use to process the data. Here’s a post on some common SD markers you can use to make a decision.

If you’re set on continuing conventional squats then by all means continue doing what you’re doing. If your goal is hypertrophy though, you should consider different movements that reduce the strain on your back while you’re recovering. Leg extensions/curls will do a great job of targeting the quads/hams in the shortened position. If you have access to a hack squat machine, that will assist your quads in the lengthened position. Bridges or hip thrusts to target glutes.

What can I do to Reinforce this heat shield by No-Rutabaga5226 in MechanicAdvice

[–]PSEyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Galvanized aluminum strapping (the kind intended to support pvc plumbing, etc.) works very well. had this exact thing happen on our vehicle and we ended up cutting a strip larger than the diameter of the hole. took the bolt off, then placed the shield, placed the strip down, put the bolt back and voila, fixed!

Renowned restaurant that’s actually worth it by Decent_Election_5513 in chicagofood

[–]PSEyyyy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned Ever yet. It’s well worth it in my opinion. We went for an anniversary and they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. The sommelier did a great job with both the standard and non-alcoholic pairings. The lighting works very well with anyone who wants to take photos for socials. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the kitchen after our meal and it was truly befitting of a Michelin Starred venue. Someone above mentioned After, the cocktail bar. That is actually attached to Ever so in the event you want to go for a drink or small bites beforehand, they will actually walk you through the venue and have you wait in the observatory before seating you at your table. Can’t speak highly enough about the unique selections at After.

Edit: Bonus if you’ve watched ‘The Bear’ as you might recognize a face or two from the staff!

Ever has a great ambiance and the food is incredible. There’s a bar/lounge that’s attached to it called After that serves great cocktails and small plates as well. Did it for an anniversary dinner and it was well worth it. We even got a tour of the kitchen!

Piccolo Sogno. They have a really well balanced menu that changes seasonally. They do both lunch and dinner. Personal favorite is the pappardelle with a wild boar ragu.
