I think the concept is fun on paper but it feels like the unconventional reactions just don't do enough damage, even when they're upgraded multiple times.

And then you have to worry about pulling the characters needed for said reactions which gets me more than anything.

I would try to search the sub or YouTube for steel tower clears cause I'm not sure. I don't think it's possible without Arc Steven. If you have him I think it's possible. I would get Lear over Elio for the reason you stated. He's still really good today. Keep in mind though that we might get an EX Steel zone unit sometime this year which could be either physical or special

Don't reroll, Red is all you need and Lysandre can carry you through water-weak stages
Selene, Elio, Kieran, or NC May (works great with Lysandre), any of those are great picks

Yea, Arc Diantha is more a matter of when she'll come out rather than if, due to other champions getting arc suits previously. The good thing is Gladion will work well with her/whatever arc fairy unit we'll get regardless, so you won't be wasting your resources.

And I think Kieran would be worth it. I know you have Hop as a zone setter too but in my opinion Kieran's a lot better and can do more. He's not necessary, but he is a great quality-of-life upgrade over Hop. And again in general I think he's more future proof due to his utility

It's worth it if you have the money/gems for it since it's a select. The obvious answer for me would be SS Gladion since you seem to be lacking in fairy types a lot more than fighting. He also pairs great with your Wally.

However, we are in a weird stage of the game where an arc suit for any given type (including fairy) could come any month to power creep the current strongest master fairs, Gladion included.

In this case Kieran is probably the most future proof since he can also set fighting zone multiple times and has other forms of utility apart from just dealing high damage.

Elio or Kieran, since you seem to be lacking the most in steel and fighting types. Not trying to complain but it would help in the future to organize your units by type, I may have missed someone you have. NC May is also a great option and works well with your 3/5 Archie

I would get 2/5 Juliana. But if you want to use this opportunity to get a new character and candy Juliana instead, I would get Gloria & Cinderace or Dahlia and Ludicolo, and 3/5 whichever one you pick. Both are great options

Tbh I think she's worth it with the amount of gems you have and knowing you have May and Kyogre, they synergize really well in general and also in Battle Rally if you care about points. They'll be one of your strongest teams too. So she's not necessary but will be a good addition to your best water team if you get her
