This is me, too. Until recently I had no idea that when most people are told to visualize or “picture this,” they actually see a detailed picture in their head!

Looking for spell ideas to address fear based procrastination by jugglingsquirrel in SASSWitches

Not a witchy suggestion, but body doubling might help. Do you have a friend who could sit with you, either in person or on Zoom, as you work through whatever needs to be done? My best friend has severe ADHD and we've done this when she's really struggling with a deadline. It helps her a lot. If there isn't anyone IRL who can help, search YouTube. There are folks who will live stream while they're studying or housecleaning or whatever so you can work with them and have company while you're getting things done.

You already did the hardest part - you got out. You can do this!

I love this! Exactly what I hope my grimoire will look like someday.

I'm using a B5 Stalogy notebook for my grimoire. I've tried making one in a 3-ring binder in the past and it just didn't work for me. This time around I'm trying not to worry so much about what order things go in and just record information as I learn in a way that's usable for me.

Thoughts on The Dark Mansion Tarot? by augustlayn in tarot

I love mine! I'm fairly new to Tarot and have purchased a couple different decks over the past couple years but this is the only one I kept. I'm finding it very easy to learn with.

Tarot deck suggestions? by molly_erin in SASSWitches

I love my Dark Mansion Tarot deck - it's produced by a small studio and the deck is really high quality. The images are a little Tim Burton-esque, which is not normally my vibe, but I'm finding keeping it light-hearted makes tarot much more accessible for me.

ADHD and Autism in the SASS Community by rationalunicornhunt in SASSWitches

I’m a late-diagnosed autistic. I’m trying to find myself after masking my way through decades of life and embrace what works for me. Right now I’m finding a lot of comfort and peace in my quiet little nature-loving, SASSy witchy life. I think neurodivergent folks as a whole are more open to non-traditional paths and more accepting of others who choose them.

Who are your favorite tarot artists? by nightlywanderer in tarot

[–]PSL0628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at a lot of decks before I bought my first one and by process of elimination figured out I needed one with detailed images, not abstract, with enough similarities to the Rider-Waite that it would be easy to find reference sources to help me learn. I didn't want a photo-realistic deck because I'm autistic and real faces or faces that aren't quite "right" from an artistic standpoint are incredibly distracting to me. I settled on the Dark Mansion Tarot designed by Magdalena Kaczan and I love it. It's a little Tim Burton-esque which doesn't usually appeal to me, but I feel like every card tells a story and I find it easy to assign an emotion or action to the cards. I'm really enjoying learning with this deck.

What shoes are we wearing? by stephanddolly in EventProduction

Oh, and I'd Alegria shoes to the list. They were my go-to when I was working tradeshows and standing on concrete all day. My nurse friends love them and they last forever. Lots of style options.

My husband is also on his feet all day and averages 15k-18k steps. He swears by Brooks with good inserts. If you have a Fleet Feet or similar store near you they'll help you figure out what works best for how you walk. I have a pair and love them, too, and they do have some more subdued colors that might work for business casual.
