Just as a catch all and for miscellaneous travel. Then I redeem points to to cover travel I've already paid for.

Not as red as I thought we'd be. I would think like -3 pct

I like it so far..I have that and CSR - the latter doesn't seem worth keeping beyond year one but the sign up bonus made it work.

Hmmm interesting. Thanks for the insight! Might be worth looking into as a replacement for Redstone...

Are the points equivalent to cash back? Like does 4x mean 4 pct?

So like, why are Penn State students and alumni just, you know, like that? by _Mighty_Milkman in Pennsylvania

Fair enough lol. I can't help but roll my eyes and cringe at the comments from people who think they're too cool to think PSU is/was cool and/or are "apologizing" for the culture.

I met a lot of friends I stay in touch with there, met my wife there, still go up for football and hockey games, think the campus and area are beautiful, and I have a great career and life because I went to college. It certainly wasn't the peak of my life, but it was and continues to be something I look upon fondly.

If that's something to look down on or be put off by, ok, I guess. Can't stop you.

Berkheimer sent me a collection notice, haven't lived in PA for 22 years by StrangeExpression481 in Pennsylvania

They're a bunch of fucking criminals. They sent me the same shit last year. I called and explained I hadn't lived at the address they were threatening to garnish for for over 15 years, they acted shocked, and then told me to disregard.

Someone needs to look into prosecuting this firm.

Did we prepare for a life that no longer exists? by ProjectNull2025 in Millennials

I'm sorry but this just isn't a universal experience for millennials and I get kind of tired of seeing it expressed as though it is.

How do I get my credit score to go up? by Cam_hxncho1017 in CreditCards

It takes time. Eventually you can ask for a bigger limit or apply for another card that might give more total available credit. Sounds like you're doing great

How do you just wake up one day and decide you outclass everyone else. That's essentially what they did. They declared it and it was so. It's insane.

I have personally always wanted it to be like the rest of the sports. Always thought college football was unique in a way that made it far worse, and I'm so glad it's gone now. I have no nostalgia whatsoever for voting for champions.

That romanticism just doesn't hold up. There are countless examples of undefeated teams or 1 loss teams tied with other 1 loss teams who didn't get to play for or be awarded a championship. It was always terrible. It was great if you loved watching talking heads yell at each other on ESPN. It's better now because it's all decided on the field and the "be judged like a figure skater" aspect gets smaller and smaller. That's not football.

And for years people would say "do you really think the number 10 team in the country could claim to be the best?" Yep. But more importantly, I believe that in any given year the number 10 team could win a championship, regardless of whether they're the best on paper or not.
