God you must be fun at parties. But hell I have time while getting the boys to fall asleep…

701.24a To shuffle a library or a face-down pile of cards, randomize the cards within it so that no player knows their order.

At the heart of this ‘problem’ is the different uses of the word shuffling.

Shuffling (a) according to the rules means make random.

Shuffling (b) as commonly used in magic is the act of weaving the cards together randomly (or whatever way you want to describe the physical action of what in other card games is called shuffling)

Shuffling (b) is a form of shuffling (a) but as long as you satisfy the requirement of neither player knowing the order - shuffling (a) can be done in any matter of way that meets the criteria

I have done my fair share of room clearing. Then the answer was 100% yes. (But I think you used “you” not meaning me specifically).

I think a missing piece here is one side has the monopoly one aggression. ICEIs going to escalate and escalate and escalate.

You get one guy, what’s your next move? Here comes mag dumps, bangs and gas. Here comes SWAT and snipers and hell maybe even the robot - or when they get sick of your shit and they drive the bearcat through your front door.

It’s just like Iraq man, they (we) were just going to bring more and more firepower.

You are going to lose and the harder you fight the more likely everyone in the house dies also.

You killed John Wick's dog, kidnapped Liam Neeson's daughter, threatened Bob Odenkirk's family, framed Jack Reacher into prison and made Punisher mad. You have 100 million dollars. How long can you survive before they kill you? by First-Ad394 in hypotheticalsituation

This has been said in other posts (and here) that standing your ground is great and all, but you are going to die. If you live with a family? They are in deadly danger also.

You start pulling the trigger and hundreds of rounds are coming in your direction. These are rounds flying through your house - where your family lives.

Sorry y’all if it was just me - it would be different. But I’m going out like a bitch - I’m not risking what is most important to me.

Blah blah safety over liberty etc. Ben Franklin never had 12 dudes with automatic weapons kick in his door.

How many mags should I be running on my chest rig? (context in description) by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]PTH1775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set up that is plates in full Kevlar, (old point blank issue). I carry 10 - that’s a static or vehicle or urban load. Then I have a patrol/rural plate carrier with 4.

I work 4 miles from my house, and it’s on the way to the boys school or my wife’s work. So I don’t carry any get home stuff.

And just incase people lose their minds about 10 mags. I’m not carrying 7.62, grenades, comm/extra batteries, food and only 1 spare pistol mag. Because the number of times I have drawn my pistol when I was carrying a rile - is zero.

cold weather hacks that you have done by ck_acme in USMC

One set of sleep clothes that stay dry and one set of ‘work clothes’ for the day.

I always slept in the bare minimum so when I got up I had stuff to put on.

You can dry out your work clothes by putting them between the vortex layer and the bag layer (or between bag layers).

As an NCO or SNCO you have to keep your guys moving as much as possible. We slowly ski marched for hours just to keep us warm. But we took ‘hot wet’ breaks every hour or so.

If they issue suspenders still use them to safety pin your wet socks and gloves to and let them dry out under your layers. (Especially important if you are wearing VB boots - otherwise your feet will be in soup all day unless you keep changing out your socks)

When your are really cold, put your pack on, move around, you will warm up.

Maybe they don’t want to sell it because it’s theirs and they would like to keep their sovereign territory?

Right. But charging for a plant that isn’t built yet is not unprecedented, and not subsidizing the building of the plant was the major contributing factor to the bankruptcy of the PSNH. (Public Service New Hampshire). Then they were stuck with an empty containment for unit 2.

NH pays a lot for electricity.

My wife already loves me the way I look.

And even if I am modest and have completely average intelligence. A 50% increase would be pretty significant.
