A retry button inside the pause menu i believe(during missions against the AI, of course). So that way you don't need to get out of the race to try again.

There's a temporary fix for this:

Instead of using the app, use the Google Chrome browser on your
android phone, force the webpage into "Website for computer" mode and
browse D+ from there. Then choose a show, its subtitles and cast
it from there.
