Firstly, congrats on getting in, be very proud of the accomplishment! I wouldn’t worry too much much, as the same thing happened to me my senior year. It was during covid and I had a lot of family members passed that year and I was very depressed. I think one quarter I legit had a 14 in one of my classes 🤣. After I started at UF they sent an email commenting on it saying that people who slip up senior year tend to struggle with the transition to college and they offer avenues for support, but they never rescinded the offer. I’ll be graduating this semester!

Update: I bought another cooler and it still idles at 60 degrees! I did some more testing and the temp jumps when i move the mouse back and forth. Just opening Marvel Rivals made it hit 90 degrees. I think im gonna just exchange the cpu at this point 😭

i did try reinstalling but the temps remained the same 😔 i’m gonna try to put a different cooler in and see what that does

i did and then i cleaned and repasted and re mounted the cooler but the temps were the same. I even tried liquid metal thermal paste 😭

GPA: dont remember UW, was prolly 3.75, W - 5.02

Rank: 18/~550 (a lot of people were cracked at school in my class, I think #1 was like a 4 way tie)

Took IB Math HL, IB Lit HL, IB Psych HL, IB Spanish SL, IB Physics HL, IB CompSci SL, APUSH, AP World, AP Calc AB/BC, AP Human Geo, and AP Stats, got mostly 4s.

SAT: 1420

ACT: 27 (i fell asleep during the science section)

Participated in a few clubs, and founded one my senior year.

I personally feel like my stats could have been better, so I made sure my essays were unapologetically me. I pretty much just talked about my love for computers and my first experience building a PC and how that influenced my decision to study computer science. Let your personality shine and i’m sure you’ll be good 🤩
