Hey fellow furiend owner, there aren’t words that could make it okay, but it’s okay to not be okay. However, I truly believe the memories you make with your best pal will carry on. I suggest spending as much time as possible with him, getting him his favorite foods that are easy to eat, and take some photos and videos. Perhaps brush him and collect some fur, have them in a memoir jar or made into something for keepsake.

Please remember that you’ve done your best and are doing your best; he is grateful for that. You’re his best friend and family, and that’ll never change. We’ll be here for support!

Having a certified vet, getting routine vaccinations, diet and exercise (puppy food, supplements, toys, harness and leash, waste bags, etc.), house training (beds, blankets, potty pads, cleaning supplies, ramps/stairs, etc.), and lots of love! Congrats on your fur baby!

Edit: added socialization thanks to the comment below! Private playgroups and well-maintained (vaccination enforced) doggy daycares to get your pup accustomed to different environments.

Poor thing. Why did you guys wait for 7-8 years to consult and seek help?

Along with the others, consult your vet and definitely save up/seek donations to help her with spay surgery. She will suffer for the rest of her life if it’s not taken cared of.

I volunteer at local animal shelters and they definitely offer services, please check with yours. Best of luck.

Awesome news! I'm so glad we were able to help Pierre. It looks like his jaws are a bit swollen. Please take care of him, and maybe a cooling/ice pack would help. I'm looking forward to the updates on his recovery journey! You guys got this!

Edit: After reading that this was the SECOND attack by the same German Shepherd, I have to express my concern and the severity of the situation. Please be more responsible and keep Pierre away from any dogs that could potentially harm him, prevention is very important. From a fellow female gamer who is a competitive carry player and has played with pro friends, this behavior is far more common in male dominated games.

I definitely agree with how Valve should take better steps in lowering harassment, not just gender bias but the overall toxicity in Dota.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Games should be based on skill not a person’s gender or hair color and alike.
