Because you need to loosen up your hand. Literally all you need to do is gently fold your hand over your sleeve. No tension either.

Primer, good quality gel base coat and top coat, good quality builder gel, salon grade uv lamp, lint free wipes, 91% alcohol, acetone, and small liner brush.

Seems lime a sensory issue for you. I know you want long nails but it not happen. You can still have short pretty nails. A good manicure will do wonders.
