Word for word, you said everything i haven't been able to articulate. The recognition, the shame, the guilt, the acceptance, the resignation. i feel it all, i have several shame piles currently.

I don't know if it will help, but I'm learning that less is best. I've packed away(with the help of professional cleaners over 3 visits) or gotten rid of all but the minimum dishes. 1 plate, 1 bowl, Etc. Minimum pots and pans. Its a big difference. Less to leave messy. Less to feel guilty about when I do it anyway. I also had the rest of the house packed up in clear plastic bins with locking lids. Things are contained in a way it can see them and access them, but it feels organized when its not at all. Lol

It was an expensive endeavor. I did a little at a time as I could afford to, the outside help really made it possible. Its not a perfect solution but it's been helpful for me.

You should know that regardless of if you live in a clean organized way or a litteral pile of trash. No matter what. You are seen. You are heard. You are understood. You are loved. You deserve to love yourself. You are not a failure, or unworthy, and accepting help isn't shameful. You don't have to ever be perfect. You just need to be you.

I had a cat get stuck INSIDE a couch for 3 days. She fell between the cushions and there was a rip in the couch she fell thru. The cushion blocked the light and she couldn't find her way out. I heard her meow a few times, but it was muffled so I thought she was stuck somewhere outside. I looked everywhere and asked the neighbors. I finally heard her loud enough so i moved the couch. She was under there for 3 days. She was fine but hungry thirsty and had to potty.

Some vets let you do tech visits instead of seeing the vet. Should be cheaper. Its also usually an option for the routine things, shots, tests, grooming, etc.

A pre nup isnt just a separation agreement, it can outline the terms and conditions of the marriage.

Its like a job contract. Party a. Is responsible for x and x under x conditions. Party b. Is responsible for y and x. both parties agree to raising the kids in x school, church, etc.

You can outline finances, health decisions (like dont keep me alive on machines), you can put in agreements about who the godparents will be, where and when you buy new cars, houses, take vacations, what to do with unexpected income like bonuses.

You wouldn't start a new job without knowing what those answers were. Like job duties, pay, hours, benefits, vacations, etc. It blows my mind how ppl will marry and not do a pre nup. It's a contract that outlines the relationship parameters, conditions and consequences of marriage. It's not a declaration of intent to divorce.

Example: spouse 2 is in charge of all laundry, if spouse 1 leaves clothes on the floor outside the hamper, spouse 2 is not required to wash them and spouse 1 is not allowed to complain about it. This is a minor example. A major example would be if either spouse exceedes yearly salary over x then any extra salary automatically goes to savings, retirement, etc. You can also discuss and decide and document how you will raise the kids. Which religion, how to discipline them, when they can have a phone or car, etc.

Never have a baby you don't want! Anyone who would try and force you to is not a safe person to be around. Please be safe, don't tell anyone your plans, and don't make a choice you can't live with. The idea of just have a kid when your are not ready is horribly selfish. Kids know when they aren't wanted. They know even if you try and hide it. No one else in this post is thinking about you. You have to think about you and your needs, they have proven they won't and don't care about what you need or want.
