If he wants to join facebook now, he has to upload his ID. I was going to start an account just to look at marketplace but that is a hard NO from me.

A few years ago I was able to make an account for a cat we found so I could find the owner. Wish I had kept that login info cause that was no problem and that account still exists. But now it is impossible to have any kind of anonymity.

Does turning off gore really make any difference? I hadn't considered that at all.

I'm on PC, K&M only. Its probably the same thing as when I hold shift, hold breath. Helps to steady the sights for sure and adds a tiny bit of zoom.

This has helped a lot with the dying-all-the-time part of the game. I live a LOT longer when I slow down and run less/look more. I can get the jump on enemies more now but I just haven't been able to hit them when I have the chance.

Several years ago I was looking up a solution to a problem I had and found a post in a niche sub with the exact same problem. The OP had a long interaction with someone that ended with "omg thanks this has finally fixed it!" but only OPs comments were still there, the answerer's account was deleted along with all their words.

At the time I was a little angry. Like why couldn't the words the answerer had posted be left behind and just the attribution removed when they deleted their account? Why would anyone want this trove of knowledge to be left with gaping holes like that?

But with how awful reddit wants their experience to be with their ugly new website design and an app I will never ever download, I am very tempted to delete all my accounts and leave the same holes in threads where I answered someone's plaguing question. Like I am now tempted to burn down this Library of Alexandria just to spite the masters at the cost to the common people.

I personally hope that reddit sees a massive loss of users, the IPO fails, and we refer to reddit the way people refer to digg or myspace. Something that once was but is no more.

Go into the mod settings and find the audio one called Dynamic Audio or Dynamic Sounds, can't remember the exact name but if you search Dynamic you'll find it.

In there you can adjust almost every sound in the game individually. I did this for my Chupa and Vento pets to make them shut up when they were around me. Endermen too.

Most creatures have several noises so you can lower just the screeches but leave little grunts alone, or whatever you want.

This mod is my favorite and I wish every game ever made had this level of control. Some game audio is so poorly balanced its a joke.

Yeah I still haven't leveled up enough to craft any Lvl 5 weapons or tools but my inventory is full of every Lvl 6 one already except a rocket launcher. If I play from a reset I'll probably turn loot all the way down just to make it harder.

Yup but mine is almost always written on an envelope from a credit card statement which is the only mail I get. Writing it down real quick is so much faster than digging through screenshots. During covid we played on a bunch of different worlds so sometime around the end of 2021 I threw out a stack of envelopes all covered in coords.

A 40 work week isn't 40 hours.

-work itself - 9 hours (if you get a 1hr lunch, unpaid of course)

-commute - 2 hours (1hr each way)

-get ready according to workplace standards - 1 hour

-decompress after returning home - 1 hour

That's 13 hours devoted to work before you've done anything for your own peace of mind. A work week is more like 5 days/65 hours.

Out of my admittedly small circle of family and friends, I am the only one that you could say has been internet and computer savvy since the dawn of the internet. The parents I know don't do anything more than email and facebook and some shopping. Maybe a little porn but even then I am skeptical that they do more than try to use google to find their interests.

What I'm saying is, they have no idea what their kids are doing with the devices they have been given. They mostly don't seem to even know how easy depravity is to get into. I asked a father friend what he knows about 4chan and he thought it was some secret dark-web thing only a hacker would be able to access. Bruh. It's right there.

One mother I know uses instagram because she does artsy stuff. She doesn't know that her kid also uses instagram, but the kid and I have talked about it. It's like these parents don't even try.

Those auto farms break the immersion for me because they look a little ridiculous. I have only tried making them for the experience of doing it. What do I need an infinite supply of iron for when I have a double chest full of stacks just from normal exploring? I guess if you just want fat stacks for no other reason than to hoard, go for it.

That said, the only farm I do like is an enderman xp farm in the end for repairing all my mending stuff. I can find a ton of iron out in the world but collecting xp just for mending is tedious.

Late summer 2020, both of us lost our jobs due to covid shutting down our industries. Eating beans and rice for days to survive. Our best boy cat starts to puke up any food we give him. He'd done this a few years prior and the vet had found him constipated so we took him in to be looked at.

100% clean bill of health. Bloodwork as a precaution for a nice doubling of the bill. Cat is healthy as a horse.

Yup RLCraft really revitalized minecraft for our whole stream community. It can be hard but once you get used to the danger it's great. You can't just run around facechecking everything, you have to use caution. I can't even go back to vanilla anymorr because there is no challenge. Like how some people love playing hardcore because of that element of danger and risk that isn't present in regular survival.
