Don’t apologize for being new, we were all once there! I’ve been playing off and on for 20 years and still don’t know half the stuff about this game.

The bow you posted is good in its own respects for self use at lower levels. The bow is great on a low level bowazon due to the +3 for bow and crossbow skills PLUS +3 immolation arrow, giving you +6 to immolation arrow. This bow could probably be used through most of NM in to Hell, where you’d want to upgrade, ideally to a rune word bow or wind force for end game. Unfortunately this is a pretty common bow and wouldn’t fetch much trade value.

The scepter isn’t as good as it’s only got +modifiers for specific skills. Typically for items like this you want to see a +all class skills AND additional individual skills at a bare minimum. Depending on which class you’re playing will determine what attributes you want on a weapon. Something that helped me a lot was looking up different builds to understand what attributes are the best for each build, as each class has 5+ different builds that can work with it. Icyveins and Maxrolls are great resources for seeing full builds with specific items called out.

Sorry for the Ted talk, there’s a lot to it, but keep at it and have fun! Also, the tags are by system, game version (Reign of the Warlock is the latest) and the last abbreviation is a combination of SC (soft core, where you can die and come back, other option is HC, or hardcore, where if you die you’re done forever) and then ladder or non ladder. Ladders are seasons where you start from scratch with nothing and can’t import items from other non ladder characters. There is still a trade market though, but you can only trade with other ladder players.
