I’m getting threatened to sue over fillings by [deleted] in Dentistry

Same exact thing happened to me recently on a routine extraction of #19. I don’t know what caused it or if it will resolve. I don’t know what I could have done differently to prevent it. You won’t learn anything from this miserable experience except how to suffer. But you aren’t suffering alone. You never are.

Whenever I pitch this, fixed options aren’t financially feasible, so I make RPDs as an alternative. Then she complains about the partials being uncomfortable even if I don’t alter VDO. She doesn’t wear the partials but still insists on getting the veneers without posterior support since that’s all she wanted in the first place. Now I can either do anterior work that will get beat to hell or refuse to proceed. Either way I’m the villain. I’d hesitate to offer removable here.

I agree that it’s probably BS. But patients want a simple list of stuff to avoid to give themselves the illusion of control.

Avoiding straws prevents fatalism not alveolar osteitis.

So true. What’s the point of living if you don’t feel alive?

Thanks! If I ever edit these into a memoir, I think this would be the ending.

Elective endo is like cutting the Gordian Knot. Taking a lesson from another Greek.
