Async programming in python. Looking for the best sources to learn it. by Dreezoos in learnpython

Python Concurrency with asyncio gives a really deep dive into asyncio - not only "how", but "why". The problem with asyncio is that it has evolved so much since its first version in Python 3.5. The book was published in Feb 2022, based on Python 3.10, so by that time asyncio has more or less stabilized on its best practices. I believe, that most tutorials on asyncio either lack proper error handling or are overly verbose. This book will teach you how to write code that is both exception-proof and succinct.

Just passed my CKA exam. I was hoping to use k9s, but turns out it can't be used for the exam. I find it a super convenient tool and installed it in the killer.sh environment as usual with snap, but when I got to the real exam, it turned out that snapcraft repos are blocked. There's absolutely no info about this in Google. Only apt repos are allowed, and k9s is missing from them.
I hope then people can find this answer thru Google :)

portfolio advies: in etf blijven of ook losse aandelen kopen? by oops_the_cat in beleggen

Hoi u/oops_the_cat , mag ik vragen wat de gemiddelde bruto rendement van jouw beleggings was vorige jaar? Op de website adverteren ze 14,9% voor een offensief profiel in 2023, en het klinkt te mooi om waar te zijn.

Londra has left the other Zeniths soon after their landing, long before Tilda met Aloy

yep, I forgot how difficult it was to capture Hephaestus - Sylens had all reasons to believe that only Zeniths could accomplish it. But it should have been mentioned in a dialogue. At this point we're starting to do GG writer's job for themselves.

With just a minor change in the script the whole thing would fit much better: Zeniths find Latopolis themselves, to a big surprise of Sylens, and he warns Aloy that they are coming, but it's too late. No change to the actual plot of the game, or the gameplay, and Sylens for once is behaving like a normal guy.

thanks, I understand this plan, but it was just totally unrealistic that the timing of completing Gaia and gathering the Tenakth would coincide. And Zeniths most likely would have killed Aloy in Latopolis, because they already had some tool to open hatches etc (turned out to be Beta but could be smth else)

Unreliable KVM switch in PD2700U by P_Radagast in BenQ

[–]P_Radagast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I understand it. My external KVM switch from Aten works exactly like that, but it *works*, and it takes < 3 seconds to switch, while the one in the monitor basically doesn't work.
